Hello,
I have done searches but I could not find an answer.
My system will have Precision Power PPi 356cs component speakers in front and a 4 ohm Kicker 8" CompVT subwoofer in enclosure (family car and I can only have sub under seat). I will initially be running this with a MBQuart Discus 480 amp (which is RMS rated 80 watts x 4 at 4 ohm). I'm running 2 channels to components and 2 bridged to the sub. I plan on having crossovers in the trunk with the amp. The sub is rated 200 watts RMS.
I might end up using all 4 channels (bridged or semi active) for the components if I'm not happy with how the PPi 356cs run at 80 RMS and then I would be getting another amp for sub.
I'm trying to choose between 12 gauge and 16 gauge wire. From everything I have read 16 gauge should be enough. I know that 16 gauge would probably be easier for install. What would you recommend?
Thanks!
