re sub and hifonics amp good setup?

ok im eyeing a re se 12" and a hifonics titan tx1005. to me it seems like a good setup. im just wondering what everyone else thinks about it. a 600wrms 4ohm dvc sub and a 700wrmsx1 at 2ohm amp. i know the amp is rated 100watts over the sub spec but will it hurt any as long as i keep the gains turned down just a bit more than normal? thanks in advanced for your opinions.

anyone w/ suggestions? im going to be putting this in my ext. cab s10, but i dont know whether to have it in a sealed box or ported. i listen to a lot of harcore music ie: as i lay dying, throwdown, norma jean, atreyu, trivium etc and some rap mostly for the bass, if that helps any of you. im so use to sealed for the punchyness of the box.

overpowering doesn't hurt subs, especially that little. clipping is what kills them. also that amp won't put out 700 watts so you have nothing to worry about.

try to find an orion 600d or jbl bp 600.1 instead

im looking at something that does 600wrms at 2ohms or close to it. the orion was said to do 600 at 1ohm.

that jbl is a solid amp, and you might be able to get it at http://www.sounddomain.com

factory renewed for cheap....i would take the JBL over the Hifonics anyday.

But 500-700wrms will do fine for that sub. I would go sealed too.

I would get the orion 600d over the jbl amp. Orion makes some very effecient amps. I would do sealed with the re se. At least that is what I have been hearing as of late. Good luck!

I would get the JBL amp any day, I had a BP and it was a very solid amplifier.

ok so the orion is out of the question. im still eyeing hifonics, but i found that jbl 600.1 on ebay for like $100. i still dont know though. im wanting something a bit different from everyone in my town. they all have powerbass, rf, jl, jbl, alpine, kicker, etc. i will be the first w. an re sub an hifonics amp if i decide to go w. that amp.

Hmm.. What is your budget? If you are looking for something different there are many other names out there.

Oh yeah I forgot he only had 1 sub, my bad. I would get the jbl then. Hifonics are overated.

ive got about $250 i can spend on an amp. thats why i was looking at hifonics b/c theyre not really that pricey.
