re SE vs. type r

I've owned an SE, and now have a type-r

type-r kicks the SE's *** in terms of output, and in all honesty, I think my SE sounded like crap too.

So, IMO, type-r is better all around. I'd have it in my daily box right now if it wasn't too deep. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif But the seXXX is doing nicely in it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

how come they cant, if u get custom coils. i believe tommy knows how 2 build a box for the SE. and trust me the box wasnt 2 big, if u see his truck u wouldnt say that. its juss the SE is better sealed and thats it. SE is not for spl and not made 2 get really loud, its made 2 sound good, which it does sealed.ported it juss sux.

I heard a dual SE setup, tuned in the mid '30s in the back of an Explorer, do a 143.4 this weekend on the TL. So they have some output potential...I can't attest to the SQ as I didn't get a chance to audition them on music.

That's right. SE's do have a tendency to get loud....if only you knew...
What's even funnier is that the original poster wasn't concerned about the ultimate in SPL - and when you're in the 143+ range, you've lost any shred of "SQ" you once had //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
