Which would be a better SQL application:

One 10" RE SE in a 1.5 cu ft box tuned at ~29.5 Hz w/ about 650 watts (actual output of amp) going to it at 2 ohms. (Sub is 600w RMS)

One 10" 2005 Type R in a 1.5 cu ft box tuned at ~29.5 Hz w/ about 650 watts going to it. (Sub is 500w RMS)

Two 10" 2004 Type R's each in a .7 cu ft sealed box w/ about 325 watts going to each sub. (Subs are 300w RMS)

I've got the two 10" 04' Type R's right now. There behind the seats of a single cab truck. They get surprising loud for being in a sealed box w/ only 650 watts going to them. But I, just like everyone here, want to experiment.

Which, overall, would produce the best SQL results. Get plenty loud while retaining SQ.

if u are goin ported, the R would be the better choice. if u are goin sealed the SE would be it. SE really shine in sealed applications. ported is the way 2 go. i would try the single 10R ported and get an dual 2 and run the 1200d@1ohm on it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

said it perfect

the SE gives more of a flatter freq response more control over music.

the type r peaks at two different spots so eq to correct it.

i would not do 2 type r in a sealed that small. no low end response.

I would go for the SE for SQl. Much flatter response //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif

Also, everyone and their mother's uncle's son's daughter has a type R. Be different //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wtf? you really think a 500w RMS sub could take 1200w RMS?
i'd feel like i was wasting money when they smoke started seeping out of the port :-/

My Premier PRS woofers are rated to handle 300 watts RMS and I'm feeding them 600 RMS on a daily basis with NO problems.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
