MTX 9500 15 please help

I currently have 2 mtx 9500 15's and a power acioustik 1920 watt amp running 1. Im planning on buying another for the 2nd and I have a 2 gauge kit installed in my sonata 2006 gls. They used the LOC to the stock deck and I only have the 1 15 installed. It sounds horrible, wont pick up any lows and my amp goes into the safe mode half power up. I have everything wired right I use to have this in my vw passat and it pounded. The amp never got hot and never shut off. Now it just sizzles. Any ideas on how to make this stop or possibly change my wiring/gains? Please help
