I've been using
eBay and PayPal for years to sell and buy
shit...I don't think I have ever had a real problem.
Well, one guy was selling car audio and also had a shop, I won the bid on an item and then 24 hours later he e-mails me telling me he sold it for more money to an "in-store" buyer and I was
shit outta luck. So, I reported him to
eBay and he got tossed. What a
douche.
The key to selling is to be completely honest and take enough pictures so the buyers know about any defect and can really see ALL of what you are selling. I'm also pretty hard
ass when it comes to shipping, as sometimes my estimates can be off. If anyone starts asking for special favors (can you ship this to Tibet?) I tell them "No, it says North America Only idiot now go away".
As long as you are open and honest about what you are selling, you should not have any issues. Just know that most people on
eBay are lookin' for a steal, and some are more pain in the
ass than others.
Also, be prepared for most to purchase what you are buying via PayPal but with a credit card. This means that the credit card company gets a cut and it comes out of your winning auction price. Tends to **** a bit but that is how most purchase when using PayPal. Rare they have it setup to come directly out of their checking account.
