Questions about selling on Ebay with paypal... Just sold my first ebay item

and if you are new and sell a high risk stuff like your sub you cant get the money from paypal until the buyer has the sub and says its all good happened to me a few weeks ago
thanks JK

and yea as for selling like someone mentioned earlier, its not the money not being good, its about him 29 days down the road saying its defective or something, when its brand new.. I used it one time and that was for testing purposes only just to make sure there were no defects/buzzing/humming etc ..

Well 8 hrs to go, I guess ill see how it goes

Well, you can end the auction early if you want. I've done it before when it is obvious I am not going to get what I am looking for in the way of $$$$. I hate setting reserves and sometimes people are just too damn cheap! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

yeah but most bids come in during the last few minutes...so it's hard to tell if your going to get what you want for something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I sold a pair of IDQ 15s to a guy on ebay, and then this local dude wanted them. I sold them to the local guy, refunded the ebay guys money, and he freaked out lol. I told him to blow me through ebays little private message system, and nothing happened to me. I'm tired of E-bay/paypal black mailing the sellers. I'm pretty much done selling anything big on there.

I was going to cancel the auction, because the local guy wanted them, but when I logged on someone already did the BIN option. It was just tough shit if you ask me. I might even dispute it honestly.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that that is exactly what I have done...if I am going to pull it, I do it in the last few minutes...typically it gets crazy right around then. I have only done it a couple of times though...you can usually get a good feel for how it's going to sell prior to that.

Also, when it comes to car audio, I will search eBay for a similar item and see how others are pricing it, including whether they are charging for shipping or providing free shipping. I do this mainly for "Buy It Now" items, which is typically car audio. I don't like the waiting and unknowns of an auction for these items and "Buy It Now" works really well. Just set the price a few bucks below the lowest you find and it will definitely sell.

No, they can only leave you feedback if they actually bought the item. So if you cancel their bid and end it early, their shit out of luck.
Of course if you pull it and then re-list, you can almost be guaranteed you won't see the dude you screwed getting anywhere near your auction again. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Ok fawkers, I sold that sub, now what? Do i send it off, wait til i get an email confirmation with the tracking # then add that and the carrier to my pp or ebay acct ? Now im just a little confused what to do.. First thing that came up was some screen asking for my ups shippers acct or some shit, then ebay and PP wanted the tracking #s and someother info. So do I add all the tracking info to both accts or just ebay as it will transfer over to PP .. All i wanna do is send it off, wait for the email then send him the tracking #.. Is that all you do really

Wait until you get payment through paypal. Once your paid, either use the paypal's shipping labels or go ship it off as normal. I have done both, but with using paypals shipping labels it sends the tracking number through email to the buyer. Transfer the money out of your paypal account.

gotcha.. The money is in my PP right now on a hold or pending , whatever it is.. Is the whole shipping labels for if I want ups to come to my house to get it? And i think from what ive seen so far everything AFTER the sale is done in PP?, ( tracking #, status etc ) So i just changed the status to" in process" , and will change it to shipped and add the tracking # and carrier once i get an email from them myself.. Whats the easiest way to do it?? Like I said im slow as it is, and never done this where i send to someone I dont know using ebay and PP etc.. So is there a way to just bring it to where ever im shipping it off from , then they take care of it and email me AND him all the shipping info?

Wait until the money is released from the hold until you ship. DO NOT ship until you have the funds. Not sure if UPS will come and pickup the items or if you have to find a UPS store or not. When I printed a UPS label from the UPS website I had to deliver it to a UPS location. Yes everything but feedback is done in PP now.

The easiest way to do it is to use paypal to print your shipping labels after the funds are released. Take it to USPS or UPS whatever you use and you should be good. But again, wait until the funds are released, cause the buyer can recall the payment before they are release.

You could take it to a UPS store and I believe they can email you and another the tracking number, not sure though. If you use paypal they will send the TN to him and you can view it in your paypal account.
