Powering a 3000watt sub at 1ohm, help plz!

I have this sub:

Audiobahn 1208Q 12” Subwoofer

12" 1500 WATTS RMS POWER, 3000 watts max

DUAL 2 OHM VOICE COIL NE

1/4 OHM OPERATION

Should I power it at 1ohm or 4ohm? Id rather just buy a monoblock amp to power it at 1ohm. Is this a good idea?

What WATTAGE do I need from a monoblock amp? Specs on amps dont list what RMS power is at 1ohm, so Im confused.

that thing wont handle 1500wrms...no doubt!...give it like a solid 1000-1200..id rather wire it to 4 ohms considering that itll sound like a fart machine at one ohm...ive tried this sub before...but i think it was the t...not the q...

I hate it when subs sound better at 4 ohm than 1 ohm. All of my subs are run at 8 ohms for that reason. Ohms law. Recognize.

I had this sub before running mono and it didnt sound bad at all!

Sure, the sound quality isnt as good as a JL or Rockford, but for the price its totally worth it!

at high volumes mine sounded like fart...so i rewired it to 4 ohms and it sounded better

That sub is very underrated, get this 4000 watt amplifier

You need a monoblock that will run around 1000 - 1500 rms @ 1 ohm. You can get a Kicker KX1200.1, Sundown SAZ1500D, Audioque 1200D, etc. Or you can go with something Hifonics to save money.
