I'm looking at getting a box for 3 10" subs...I saw that obcon made an MDF box for 3 10's and it has plexi on the back of the box...Does plexi on a sealed (On the back) does it make a difference in sound??? Any recommendations for what box to get for 3 10"s

As long as it doesnt flex the sound should remain the same. You can prevent flexing by having the right thickness of plexiglass.

Opposed to spending hundreds for a pre-fab...save that money for upgrades later on.

Totally agree. I wanted to buy a new box but then saw the prices!! Build your own it wont affect the performance or loudness just so long as you build it well!! Good luck:D

30-40 PLUS the plexi glass.....I am just guessing that your going to need something like 1" which is probably going to run you another 60-100 bucks.

Bingo. I would just go straight MDF.

No problem. The Dayton ultimax is one of the better sounding sealed subs I’ve heard. I kinda want to try the 18 in my ride.
