the funny thing is, when i run the amp at 4 ohms and the subs are only getting 550 rms, it sounds almost as good as when i am running them at 1 ohm. Not much of a difference, it's just the low lows are heard a little more.that seems like what you want? if i can figure out how to take vids with my digital camera ill take a vid of my set up.
i don't remember on the first song but the second was bass i love you100 rms? What the hell? If that's only 100 rms then i have some serious problems somewhere. What were you playing in that vid?
if your talking about on the amp, then it reads 13v when cranked up with the car on.Check your power/ground
stick a dmm across the power and the ground, and see how your voltage is.
that is why i have to continue with this thread, they are just farting IMO. And you sold me this amp, LOLCheck your power/ground
stick a dmm across the power and the ground, and see how your voltage is.
Porting wouldnt fix this, these should be WAY louder off that amp.
No... it's not that simple. The +3db is completely meaningless and people misinterpret that rule of thumb. With Type R's, you're going to see much more than a 3db gain across a great deal of the audio spectrum, particularly from 35-50hz.it will add 3 db, that;s what it will do.
i know, but the subs aren't hitting hard in any of the vids. And all the vids were takin with my gain at 75%, which is way unstable and not good for the amp at 1 ohm. When i turn the gain down a little bit i can barely hear the subs beat at all. That amp was working perfectly when I sold it.
You have it beating in the other vids, what did you change?
it stays around 13.2 volts at the lowest when the car is onRun the gain up a little bit, if you running stock alt/bat in that car and not getting a drop below 13V full tilt, the amps not get the ampz.
is this with the probes touching the pre outs on the head unit? Or the ampDo you know how to check the preouts?
Incase you dont, set Dmm to AC volts, then unplug one rca, voltage should rise slowly with the volume knob to around 1.5-2 or so volts
