Hey fellas a couple easy questions i need help with.
Apparently [for my 15" RE SX] there is a coil rubbing problem. If it doesn't get fixed soon i might have to recone it. Personally i dont know what coil rubbing is, does anyone know what it is or how to fix it? It could save me a couple hundred bucks. I'd like to fix this coil rubbing problem before i do anything rash.
Also, right now im powering the SX with a Hifonics 1000d, which is supposedly about 850w, which is not what i want at all. if i fix the coil rubbing i'd definiltey want to upgrade the amp. HOWEVER when im playing music it seems after i reach a certain volume the bass doesn't go any louder, but the treble and mid does. I mean im just about halfway of my volume and i dont notice a difference. Could this be because it is being underpowered? or is it a problem with the sub.
If it is being underpowered would i notice a difference if i got a eD NINe.1? I been lookin at this for a while and the increased wattage couldn't hurt right?
Im happy with the SX right now, but i DEFINILTEY know that she could get louder, and sometimes i just want all that she can give. If i upgrade to the nine.1 would the sub get any louder?
