how many watts do you send your IDQ?

i was just curious to what you guys have sent, are sending to you IDQs. i have 500rms going to my 15" and am going to upgrade to like 1200rms and get another one so i will send approx. 600rms to each.

It will probably be a little excessive as they should not need that much power to reach their full potential.

I send my IDQ 12" about 100rms and it gets plenty loud in my room for movies and music. In my car, I was giving it 300rms and it didn't need anymore.

800w @ 2ohm from a ED 9.1

gains are way down on the pair of idq15d2v2's. they get moving and i turned the gain down, but then again, mine are IB.

I am running my idq 15 on a 9.1 @ 2ohms with the gain set by ear. A lot of people don't like to give the q's that much power but, I like to give them more than rated power cautiously. Did you you know that all image dynamics speaker have a certain sound to them.. ah didn't know that huh.

What do you mean by that?? I've heard a few SQ setups with IDQs and have been impressed by ALL of them. And in all of them they were only getting 300 to 500 watts. I couldn't tell you how loud they got as that is NOT my thing but they blended well with the front stage.

The only sub I've heard that matches this sub in SQ is the Pioneer Premier TS-W12PRS subs. Yes, the yellow subs.

Well I guess the guys that I was talking to at Image Dynamics did not know what they were talking about:uhoh: but, anyways If you don't get then nvm-
