newbie looking for help with system upgrade

If you do a little shopping around .. you may find the items I chose at a better price.. But it all is pretty decent and will last you until you want to upgrade at a later time. Should sound pretty good. A pair of subs would be Ideal. That one 10" sub will fill that cabin pretty nicely, and those component speakers will get loud and clean if you set the gains and ect on HU and amp properly. That Tahoe ist hard to install a system in if you want to try.It is actually one of the best and easiest vehicles to learn from to be honest

So.. The HU you got is only 2v RCA.. which It would have been a better choice have opted out for a 4-5v, but it does have T/A, and LPF and HPF on it which is a plus,And of course what you want and need i assume or you woudnt have picked it up.Most shops want you to buy what they SALE or have in Stock ..Hence SALE..Most will not install anything you bring without an extra upsale charge and will not give a warranty on the product and sometimes the install.Kicker has gone down hill since the mid 90s IMO.. Most theyre amps are still decent and I only like theyre KS25 1" Tweeters and theyre 3/4" tweeters(titanium) due that they take power and will scream on 50 watts or better.Actually sound pretty decent for the price.JL is over priced of my opinion, but they do make some dammned good amplifiers.. but you going to pay for them.. and there are competative brands for a much better price.DD is also very expensive but offer very quality gear that will last.. again$$$ deep pockets for the gear.

at the time i just wanted something with bluetooth as the truck came with the CD player unit. i picked it based off of reviews online actually and paid a shop to install it for me. what would you reccomend for this upgrade? i would need a better head unit no? if imma upgrade i guess might as well get something with a screen to add a backup camera. thanks for the info on the brands. imma go by a few shops and get quotes see what they telling me for installs and brands they tend to install.

Thats what Id put in that Tahoe for now.. Prob add 1 more 10" sub later, and a dual enclosure

i try to stay away from electrical stuff lol if it isnt led lights or what not. a friend of mine has installed systems before and told me the same thing. he said hes been out the loop for years but used to install alpine and kicker systems in his cars if i got the pieces hes help me wire it that tahoes are easy to set stuff up except to pull out the sub thats under the drivers glove box thing in the middle. but something like this id rather pay someone to do it especially professionally when i dont understand the ins and outs of the technology. all of this is alien to me, ohms, mids, subs etc.
