New L7 sub on BX1500D

Yeah, maybe they should adopt other manufactures marketing habits by knowing what their amps put out, but rate it a couple of hundred watts less and providing birthsheets so the consumer thinks they're getting more for their money. Maybe rating their amp at 14volts is an issue since more people than not dont have the electrical to sustain a constant 14volts under a heavy load. So many maybes......
Back on topic, you dont need to run both amps. It would be plenty for most using one amp on two l7s. I ran that combo for about a year. Before that amp, I used a Memphis 16st1000d (1100rms @ 1 ohm). I sold the Memphis and kept the Brutus, not that Memphis wasnt nice.

Of course you dont NEED to run both amps, but if he has the money, it wont hurt anything.

But since you have the money for two amps, why not just get a single beefy amp to run both subs? Orion 2500D maybe?

The original poster already has the amps, but I agree with the single beefy amp. Makes things less complicated with gain matching and such. I think you should go dual 4s because you can try them at 1 ohm on a single amp and try both at 2 ohms on seperate amps to see what you like best.

I am going to try the two BX1500D amps for now. I am save up for the orion 2500D. thx again everyone all my questions have been answered

Are you sure that can be done? I belive that 4ohm's can be setup in 2 or 8 ohm, and 2ohm's can be setup in 1ohm and 4ohm... is this correct?

Ok iam sorry I see what you meant.... oppsss thx for the info

Your right. As I posted earlier...he isn't able to run them @ 1ohm unless he's running both of those subs into 1 amp which he isnt. He is running each sub into 1 amp. Therefor he can only run those subs @2ohm or @8ohm. If he had DVC 2 then he could run them @ 1ohm.

one 1500 will not sufice for powering two L7's. They need no less than 1000 watts each to maintain sound quality. They still sound "loud" with less power, but that is when you hear the "fart cannon" everyone thinks they are.

Ya this post went way out off topic..... i have two BX1500D amp one for each sub. I'll be going 1 ohm on each amp.
