well I might have gone over board on the pics, but I actually cut about 20 out or more.

Some of you know that I'm in the middle of an audio buld for my car. This weekend was spent building the trunk. I have not carpeted the box or racks yet...thats to come. Also keep in mind that I pulled out the carpet kit. I'm going to buy 100 ft of sound dampener and do the entire trunk, then I will put back the factory carpet kit.

This is my first build, and design. My good friend Marc was the builder. I helped where I could. My design and his wood working skills. Everything was done in ONE DAY. if he had his choice he would have taken a week or two and made everything perfect, BUT I needed it done fast so reluctantly he built it in one day.

anyway...here it is:

I started by re doing the wires off the battery and adding a 4 guage ground. I plan to add a 0 guage ground as well and add a 4 guage power directly off the alt to the positive on the battery, Also I'm buying a new battery later. Alt is 95amps.

post what? I grabbed a few of the first spots so I could keep all the pics at the start of the thread. I also posted pics at first but had a problem with my image hoster and had to remove everything and start over.

here is a pic of the material and padding that I plan to use for the enclosure and amp racks. I plan to place padding down first then the material to give it a plush look.

Whoa that's nice man:crazy: , I wish I had a garage/shop like that, especially with that t.v. The pics are nice and detailed, step-by-step. Show more pics as close of intervals as possible if you have time during the build.

Ohhh thats actually a really good idea. Sorry about that. I just thought u were just posting just for the hell of it.

Edit:

Nice box btw.

Thanks guys! yeah its coming along nicely. I was going to install the fabric today and then wire my amps in but Its superbowl sunday and I have a bunch of people over. I'll try to bust it out in the evenings the next few nights. My sub will be here Tuesday so I want it completed by then..Wednesday at the latest.

Yeah many clamps were used but its best to get a great seal for the Elmers Pro bond (which is AMAZING glue!!) We didn't want to take any chances. Screws and air nails were used and locktite construction sealer was used to seal the joints.

Bro, I have a suggestion. Go to walmart and get the cheapest, shittiest pillow you can find. Should be aroun 5 dollars. Rip it open, and you now have 3x as much poly fill for 1/5 the price.
