No problem, I thought it was a pretty unique HU. There's some nice things about it as well as some annoying things. As usual w/ this hobby, you can't have it all...lol.

So, I was playing around on parts-express (always a mistake). I wanted to pick up a replacement 8" driver for the one I blew and decided to pick up 4 of these: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=299-271

These will fit in the a-pillar where my 4 tweeters are mounted. First I'll try 1 set w/ a set of tweeters above them and then I'll try all 4 in the a-pillars and see what kind of sq I get out of them. f they don't sound that great I'll put the tweters back in and get another set of 6 1/2's for the kick panels. If they sound great, I'll replace my kickpanels with the stock one's from the factory. Should be pretty interesting to see how these small speakers sound.

Overall I'm pretty happy with it. I've read that the SE's "shine" w/ 750wrms, so I'll be giving them that shortly which should help out my scores and with the deadening I think I could get a solid 147 or so. I found it pretty weird that I do better numbers all sealed up than I do w/ windows down or sunroof open. With my previous MX 15" I did better numbers with the windows down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Didn't take any vids cuz it was pretty late at night and we were in a dark parking lot but once I stop being lazy I'll take some vids of the setup.

I just made a vid. It's the first video I've made and it came out like shit. I taped it in my garage so that everyone in the neighborhood wouldn't know about my system but the garage door added more rattling and it's kind of dark. Anyway, there's a recap of my numbers and here's the vid:

I've done a few more things to my setup so I figured I'd bring this back to life. I have 2 sets of 2" Peerless fullrange drivers on my a-pillars now, playing from 160hz up. I'm using two sets to keep up with my substage and it sounds pretty good. I could use a nice eq to get rid of a few peaks but overall it sounds pretty good. I added an Orion HCCA-D5000 to my 3 SE 12's and it sounds pretty clean. I need to stop being lazy and deaden my roof cuz it's causing a lot more rattling than I'd like.

Apparently I don't have any pics of the fullrangers in my pillars, so if anyone cares I can get some pics up soon. I wanted to also try out components that could be coaxially mounted in my kicks and see how they sounded as a single point source. I had a set of Image Dynamics CSX64's but they were way too big for my kickpanels. Hopefully I can try out another set of components soon and see if I can get some better imaging with that.
