Decided to make a different thread for my build log since adding to my other one might just confuse people. Anyways, here's the pics of the items I have so far.

So I got completely rid of my last setup and the only items I have from it are the 2 Solo's. I wanted to do somewhat of a budget build this time around but I also wanted to get louder doing it while keeping my 3way active frontstage (I'm never going back to 2way or passives again). So here's the list of items I have going in:

I'll start at the receiver: Kenwood DPX503 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113DPX503/Kenwood-DPX503.html?search=Kenwood+VENDORID113&searchdisplay=Kenwood&tp=5684 I didn't want a screen in the dash again and I wanted a somewhat stock look with decent processing including T/A and easy hookups for my zune or my 4gb thumb drive. You can pick these up brand new from ebay for about $215 or so. I'll give a more in depth review of this HU tomorrow along with pics.

Active 3way Frontstage:

Dayton RS225-4 8" Reference Midbass Woofers in the doors. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-376

Dayton RS150-4 6" Reference Woofers in kick panels for my midrange. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-372

2 pairs of Dayton ND28F-6 1-1/8" Neodymium Dome Tweeters in the a-pillars. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=275-040

Coustic XM6 3way xover. http://www.coustic.com/products/processors/CousicXM6Manual.pdf

Substage: 3 RE SE 12's in a 6c/ft box tuned to 33hz subs up ports up. Firing back is louder but also causes a lot of rattling even with all the deadening I've used. Picked them up for some pretty good prices here on the forums.

The Power: 2 JBL GTO1004 4ch. amps. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12244_JBL+GTO1004.html 1 for the mids and tweets and the other bridged to the midbass. Hopefully one of those Audiopipe 3000's in the classifieds are still available next week so I can pick one up.

For my electrical, I have the big 3, stock 110a alternator, and a large C&D Technologies battery in the rear.

Here's a few pics to get this started:

I only have the 6's and 8's running right now temporarily so I have music in my car. I must say the Dayton 6's and 8's alone right now, sound GREAT! I currently have the 8's playing 40hz - 200hz and the 6's full range from 180hz up.

I am liking your Kenwood HU a lot.. very stock looking, I like that..

but I dont like how the cable running to your zune looks out of place...

I just checked the specs, it is compatible with kenwood ipod adapter.. why dont you use ipod instead eh? just a thought? so you can hide the cable and ipod behind the HU into the glove box?

Also looking forward to your substage build.. should be interesting..

Lastly, what vehicle is it?

I have those 8s paired with the 5"s just like your 6"s. Man I love them.
Yeah, I'm really enjoying the speakers right now. I have the 4's also but I'm a little afraid to try mounting them in pillar pods.

i like the kenwood
Yeah, it's a pretty nice unit but there are a few things things that annoy me with it. The first thing is that it only has 2 2.5v preouts. The other thing is the remote doesn't allow for a lot of scrolling through the menus and only certain colors really stand out during the day to where you can see the screen clearly.

I have 2 mp3 players and wouldn't feel like getting another. The main reason I like it there although the wire is in the way, is that I can charge it through the cigarette lighter plug and I usually have to scroll past songs because I download a ton of full albums and I have to skip through songs a lot. I actually plan on using the thumb drive a lot more though. Thanks for all the comments and the vehicle is a 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara.

Here's some pics of the box and subs in the car. I still don't have a mono amp and the wiring isn't neatly done yet either cuz I'm waiting for a few things.

The amps are underneath the sub box. I need to figure out a way to mount the 2 fans I have. I have very limited space to work with. If I buy an audiopipe 3000.1 I'll have to mount it to the box on the angled side up against the seats.

You can kind of see the battery tucked away on the side of the box, I took a weird angle for the picture. I'll also have a volt meter there.
