My install's coming along nicely

Here's the equation, so you won't need to learn it by heart but logically //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif : 1/R1 + 1/R2 = 1/Rt ( when wired in paralell) R1 + R2 = Rt ( when wired in series)
When only one DVC sub:

Rt : Total load

R1 : load of one coil

R2: load of the other coil

When more than one DVC sub:

Rt: total load

R1: load of one sub (total load of the two coils)

R2: load of the other sub (total load of the two coils)

With these two equations you can check the total load you will get no matter how many subs are wired together.
Ohm's Law calculations, yep! I Know it well.

Sounds so confusing when it's not really. Once you really understand what you are talking about.

Shut ur mouth John, no one asked u! U act like this is ur thread or something lol but for real dude get a life, go play with ur little dsp some more. I mean honestly I've seen you on forums back to 2002 and the same thing, people disliking you. U act like u do this on purpose but it's real easy to say that when even if u tried to be cool it still wouldn't work, that's why u do this whole "Kuthe..." Persona. You are like the dude that gets rejected by a girl and then says I didn't like her anyway, she's ugly. Or the dude that doesn't get invited to the party and says he never wanted to go in the first place lol, that is u in a nutshell isn't it Johnny?

Most Caraudio.com denziens as I call them are a lot better at personally insulting peolle than helping them.
That's why I posted my little door treatment post/log, just to help anyone possibly. I'd rather be part of the change I wish to see around here.

John Kuthe...
Nope just you. Look at past threads and you can see dozens of helpful people (us) helping newbies, other members on here. There's a reason were all giving you ***** on a daily basis.

There will be for sure…I may actually name the thread 'My install's coming along nicely II' hehehehehe
The plan is AF GB10's in A pillars, GB25's in upper door, GS693's in front door for mid bass, GS42 center channel, GS62's for rear fill. TC Sounds TC1000 15 for sub duty.

Here are a couple threads with to my current AF set-up:

Very nice build man; you may actually get more views with the new name...considering the popularity of this thread!

How do you like the frogs?

I can't wait to HEAR IT!!

I've seen favorable reports on AudioFrog. I'll keep that in mind and I just bookmarked the AudioFrog.com website in my browser.

Ah, I've been on the Internet a lot longer than that! Mid 1990's!

Oh no, I still loved my Ex at first, but got over that. That's all common reaction formation. I know quite a bit about psychology and stuff.

John Kuthe...

WTF??!! Psychology...this guy is a jack of all trades or what.
I had to take a lot of psychology classes as prereqs for nursing school. Childhood through geriatric and a whole course on lifespan behaviors. Plus ever since high school when I first took a psychology course and I thought at first that the human mind is the most fascinating organ in the human body, but then I thought "But look what's telling me this!" Began a lifetime of me studying the human condition and humans.

I really like the sound of the Frogs...they've required less tuning so far than other speakers I've used...I would say they sound better 'right out of the box' than anything I've used so far.

Aesthetically they're quite pleasing as well...the simple clean look is nice.

The only thing I would complain about would be possible QC issues...The first set of GB60's I got had a slight rubbing in the coil when you moved the cone. Both of my GB25's had issues with the screw-down terminals/coil lead connection, ultimately I had to solder speaker leads directly to the tabs on the basket. They're been issue free since. Also on the set of GS42's the tweeters are a bit crooked...each at just slightly different angles. Blemishes on baskets and a lil extra glue here-and-there.

Andy if you're reading this you may want to talk to your production guys about this.

But really the AF stuff does sound fantastic.
