My install's coming along nicely

I did not even try. Installer guy was playing with the RUX controller trying to find some type of presets to start from but could not find anything. I WAS trying to use the Windows Sound Manager program to try and get in to see things but it would not connect via the USB from the PC to the DSP. Then I had a physical accident with the $50 used Windows laptop whose mousepad had quit on me, the batteries ****** and I accidentally broke it's screen, so it became garbage fast! Now all I have to configure the DSP is the RUX controller, which like I said I haven't really looked at much. The Alpine PDF file of Owner's Manual documentation is clear as mud! Useless as far as I can see, Installer guy did all the stuff it said for startup and nada! I need in-person help from someone who knows about the PXA-H800 DSP.
And it's freezing outside right now and dark!

There's your problem.

I'd still rather pay someone who knows how. Once I get sound out I can start playing with it, but this brick wall is BS! I'm sure it's some small configuration thing somewhere, just like with computer problems. I got out of computers and I'm glad because I got tired of troubleshooting other people's code, for which most documentation for is just about as bad as this Alpine documentation!

I still don't get it. An EE, now a nurse....did computing programming for awhile, which I don't believe,.,,,yet doesn't know how to install a very basic stereo consisting of 3 amps, dsp, some speakers, and a HU.

Dude....you have no balls. You would rather pay someone to live your life for you. Don't even try. Your not mechanically inclined but an EE?? lmao gimme abreak.

That poor patient you ditched...hope he/she haunts you.

Im doing my first install myself and have a question for you vets.

Got a RF P2D4 12" 4 ohm. First dual coil. My amp is a cadence q2000, bridged it goes 270w 4 ohms. Would my new 12" take that to 8 ohms when hooked up? Would it push it?

As I said my installer guy have it his best shot which didn't work. But I knew when I got the DSP he was not DSP literate and I just expected him to give it his best effort, which he did. He at least referred me to someone who may be able to help me, if I can't figure it out first.

And YOU BoominTahoe are a patent LIAR!! I don't care what you think or believe!

I MAY get out tomorrow and run the heater in Baby II a while and play with that RUX controller. I have the printed Alpine documentation, I will have to give it a try.

That's not gonna work...that amp puts out 270 watts @ 4 ohms. You have a d4 ohm sub. At best, that sub has the ability to wire 2 diff ohm configurations: 2 ohm and 8 ohm.

You don't know how to try, remember?

Most Caraudio.com denziens as I call them are a lot better at personally insulting peolle than helping them.

That's why I posted my little door treatment post/log, just to help anyone possibly. I'd rather be part of the change I wish to see around here.
