My install's coming along nicely

I just laughed out loud holy fvck that caught me off guard.
Looks very much like Baby II, boring!! ;-) Fourth Gen Chrysler Grand Caravan even, I think!! One Electrical Engineering school joke me and my fellow EE students thought of in my lab group was we would probably get a really bad grade if our EE project emitted smoke, unless emitting smoke was in the project specs!

I wanna get Baby II painted "S l u t " Red next!! Then she will be MINE! :)

Pull the windshield...lol
It would have made it SO much easier! If I was adept and removing and reinstalling windshields, or installer guy was. But we made it work anyway, mostly with my efforts which worked outstandingly!

How much is one allowed to disassemble a vehicle to install audio stuff? I've seen Youtubes of people and heard too of people ripping oiut entire interiors to install sound deadener, is that permissible on Caraudio.com? ;-)

Uh yeah. That is THE PROPER way of installing audio....you question it like you've never done this before but continue to flap your yap about how you did this 20 some odd years ago. Now I know your lying. Any car audio guru, enthusiast, expert, etc knows that when it comes to builds, small or big, interior will be taken apart.

Boogerman's build is a perfect example of a full blown build....gutted insides to apply some dynamat. Go look at it.

Also....windshield removal isn't necessary unless your planning on replacing it.

The "proper" way? Says WHO??!!

I rarely do things the "proper" way as that involves giving others the authority over ME! I mean, I have to do that right now for my current career, nursing. And I voluntarily went into nursing as a way to earn a living with is very hard to outsource to China, India, etc. And I will do this self-imposed restricted profession until I RETIRE!! Soon!

And I'm OUTTA HERE soon too! I'm sure I'm gonna have questions about this DSP unit, but I don't expect any help off this board! I have a few good online contacts I may ask some questions. None on this board, too much.

I know how to adequately fix a cheap Chrysler plastic 5.25" Driver's side dash speaker mount point which broke off! And we didn't even have to pull the windshield although doing so would have made this repair SO much easier!

Now it's a 6-32 machine screw thread courtesy of a 6-32 RivNut!! I LOVE these RivNuts!! :)

Got both 5.25" dash speakers and tweeters installed. Pics tomorrow when we power up the DSP and amps and see how Baby II sounds now! O-boy! O-boy! O-boy! :)

Wait, you are going to take and post pictures of your system playing? Please include pictures of the sound coming out of the speakers.

You are the dumbest person I have seen on any forum.

When i was 15 i knew better to aim any speaker at the window. To think you bought those highs and are using 6x9s with a dsp holy crap. Its too much for my brain to handle. I mean some 7" dayton references would sound worlds better for 120$ of a solid 75 per side.

No, that's pointless especially because the ONLY thing not stock in appearance are the two PHD tweeters my installer guy installed with the included PHD tweeter mounts at the lower part of my A-pillar plastic covers. Just as I wanted this install to go! Oh unless you look at what's down in the Stow-n-Go seat storage spaces! But I've posted pics of my equipment bay and the subwoofer pit too.

It's gonna sound SO GOOD! And no one here will ever know! So feh! ;-)

Chrysler is who you should argue with that design decision! I stuck with the stock speaker mounts, all SIX of them! The best? No, but the easiest, which is why I tried to get good drivers/speakers, whatever you want to call them!

And even with only the front and rear 6x9s playing off the HU it sounds pretty darned good!
