Last time I checked audiophile generally referred to the quality of the recording and quality of the reproduction by the speakers. Genre has nothing to do with it; so unless you know that the quality of Tool cd's isnt too good (could easily be the case)....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gifNo offense but Tool is not Audiophile...
You might like it... But still not Audiophile...
Although you make valid points, Mr. Tama is correct. Tool is great and I listen to them all the time, but I wouldn't put it up against my top recordings...Last time I checked audiophile generally referred to the quality of the recording and quality of the reproduction by the speakers. Out of all my music (sinatra, Ska, alternative, metal, punk, cultural, etc...) the best track I have for testing mid-bass and bass reproduction with excellent recording quality is by some horribly mainstream punk band....
Ill side with you guys then. I dont listen to them and cant comment on the recording quality; just wanted to comment on the whole genre thing.Although you make valid points, Mr. Tama is correct. Tool is great and I listen to them all the time, but I wouldn't put it up against my top recordings...
