Most Powerful 8" speaker?????

This is for my 2 year old daughter is is competeing next year in MECA kids and i'm looking for the most powerful 8" sub cuz thats all they are aloud to run in her class and she can only use a 20amp AGU fuse can anyone help her out with finding a sub???

Try an RL-i, once they're shipping again that is. It'll handle some watts, but who knows what the loudest single 8 is.

Something else you can try is an AudioQue LW8, it's like 115 dollars shipped from the company, but I've been hearing great things from them.

I'm putting two of them in my truck, soon.

Powerful has nothing to do with it. With 20 amps (~250w), you need an efficient 8 and a good enclosure.

I wouldnt suggest the LW8 for no reason

The gentleman at AQ who I spoke to has record of a single LW8 in a 1^ft ported box at 35 hz hitting a 141 on the new term with 275w(I believe it was?) to it.

Or so I was told

And I've heard an audioque sub once, it was a HD 12 sealed and it impressed me incredibly. I wont doubt it but I'd love to see it

With a single 8 and a big vehicle, you could use a folded horn. THAT would be something to see. =)

how about getting a LW8 and get one of these http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/2119

and do some testing..see how long a 2oamp fuse would last on a full tilt burp

if i can put 1200watts on a 40amp fuse and be able to play it for a 1hour....u should be ok

i was thinking about that i was showing my 2 year old daugther 8" subs today and she picked out the L78, she was like i want i want i want NOW, now shouls i build a 1ft^3 ported or sealed?? there will be the meter on the floor of it and then she will be doing drive-by SPL too

Ive seen a little kid do a mini spl comp before, i dont remeber what sub he was running, but i know he was running a rather large Rockford Fosgate Type RF amp that was mounted to the thrunk.
