MIXED RESULTS: optima YELLOW top vs optima RED top

lol, why did you list the price as $419, when you know it is not the actual price? You can keep pushing your parts store battery to the top, sorry if we know better.
list price was 419. i used the list price of optima at my autozone too of 196, not like i looked for the best deal on it either. and optima is a lot better than kinetic, and a lot a lot a lot better than XS, when you factor in what i want and need from a battery.

pointless to argue with me because i put up SOLID facts and no one has counter proven them wrong. optima better in every field but car audio, which is what a battery is used for secondly anyways after starting your car. if im wrong, im wrong, but in this case, no one has proven any solid info countering what i have posted
My 88ah C&D Tech battery that will shit on your Optima for car audio ALSO benched 1200 CCA...what do you have to say about that one? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

have to say what i have said about 10 times in this thread:

1) is it non corrosive?

2) is it under 35 pounds so that it is light weight in my sports vehicle?

3) does it come standard with side terminals built in?

4) is the cost somewhat comparible to optimas 136$ online or 196$ in stores?

5) does it have a 3 year no questions asked warranty?

6) can i get a replacement if im 1000 miles away from home at the nearest local auto parts store within 15 minutes of arriving there?

if you answered yes to all of these, then yes ill admit, i am wrong and you have found a better battery. if you answer no to any of these, thanks for wasting my time like 10 others have done.

and like i told dwish, just because your battery will **** on my does not make it the best for my specific application. i have already stated what i want and need and that comes down to either a yellow or red battery. im sure there is a better battery than yours out there somewhere too, maybe one 10 times the size of yours, does that mean it is best for you? hell no. /thread

A '00 ***** Am isn't a "sports vehicle", it's a 10 year old rust busket and the only vehicle your poor ass could afford. No 35 lb battery is going to be powerful enough for more than 1kW anyway.

It's cool, I now understand that you need the warranty so badly because that when you wire your capacitors up wrong, you can get a new battery for free. On the other hand, I buy quality product that lasts/actually know how to install my shit properly, and won't have to worry about buying new batteries for a few years. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You started this retarded thread.................but WE get to keep it going. Even if it is just to show how some people shouldn't be allowed to start threads in the first place.
ok, agreed. so please prove me wrong. here is what i need deafwish:

1) side post terminals along with top post terminals and the top post MUST have a cap to cover it

2) i need minimum 700cca and 900ca

3) i need it to be a lightweight performance batter, must be UNDER 35 pounds

4) i need to be able to be half way across the country and get a battery replacement the same day, and once inside the store within 15 minutes or so. something very easy like the battery i have pointed out thus far.

5) 3 year warranty MINIMUM

6) if it has all these features it needs to be cheaper than the optima for the deciding factor. if it is more expensive than obviously i would expect it to have ALL these features + some of them BETTER than the optima.

so now that you'd like to show me how i shouldnt have started this thread in the first place, please enlighten me with a battery like this. if you do, my hats off to you and ill bow down and admit openly on here i should not have put red top and yellow top as my only 2 options. fair? look forward to hearing back from you, lets see what you come up with since my battery options are so bad. i actually hope you do find me one with ALL of those features that is better, because then id buy it. however from my months of research, im yet to find a battery with all of that. thanks and good luck!

so any car that's a 00 or older is a rust bucket? guess we better call up every car manufacturer and tell them their corvettes, comaros and mustangs are ****. so what is a "sports car" so we can tell insurance companies that their full of shyt cause some kid in a forum said that sports cars can only be labled such as he says so.

If everyone used this logic, the best subs out there would be Alpine Type Rs...since you can get them at any Best Buy doesn't make them the best. You sir fucking fail

Optimas are great if you like having to replace your battery every three months or if you like battery acid dripping all over your engine bay like what happened to a buddy of mine...total poop quality.
3 years running in 2 of my vehicles. 4 years running in 4 of my dads classic cars.... only 1 issue out of all those batteries, that was when i hooked up a capacitor wrong when i was 17, left the car sit for 2 weeks and it basically killed a cell in the battery. however optima still replaced it from autozone in less than 15 minutes for me.

subs are not something that could be life or death. they are an added enjoyment feature/hobby. however having a battery that runs when its 0 degrees out in the cold and you need to get somewhere, i think thats a little more important. therefore, yes, having the logic of being able to get a battery replaced easily is very important to me. i dont have time to wait a week while a mail a battery and wait for it to come back. if you think the alpine type r's is a good point, then you, sir, fail.
