MIXED RESULTS: optima YELLOW top vs optima RED top

funny how no one at caf had a problem with the question. they realized i was set on red or yellow. and strictly gave me the facts on which of the two they would choose and why. but nice contribution to the thread, really helps out my first question.
Well if you got help on one forum then why did you come to another to ask the same question? Your going to get different answers on different forums due to different people...people on here gave you what they have experienced themselves and you didnt like it.

Not actually here to answer the question because I have no experience with optima. I simply go by what I read and what ive been told. What ive been told is that deka is good even though they are heavy...so I went with deka. 67 pounds per battery for the 2 i got currently and the one under the hood I think will be around 40. Havent looked into it much...but I do know its smaller. Dekas I got sees like 90 or 100 ah each...forget which...but yea on top of a 270 amp mechman alt my setup is doing **** good.

But yea dont ask for help if your simply going to turn it down and put down what they are saying by spewing facts when they themselves have their own facts about what they own.

actually there was not a question of car audio anything. the question was, yellow top or red top which is better and WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY???? yet nobody gave any reasons why for 4damn pages. they don't like em cause they melted or leaked? really? how the hell do you melt a batt? how do you go through 3 batteries in a year and then expect them to keep replacing them for free? (here blow my subs for whatever reason and i'll just keep giving you new ones just because you're you). personally i think the OP's "needs" are a bit much but everybody has their own needs/wants out of everything in life. for him and his needs, optima is the best choice.

why do your facts count but mine dont? im the one asking the question. fact is, i want an optima no matter how shytty any of you think it is as it fits my specific situation the best. so take those facts in, then answer the question if red or yellow is better and why???

and yes, multiple forums = more people = more input. next thing you know ill be comparing prices at two, hell maybe even THREE online car audio retail stores

amen to that^^^

originally i listed 8 and just forgot to list that 1 feature. if you dont believe me check page 1. and duralast
just opinions. On paper(specs) the Duralast is better. In the real world, they both are marginal batteries......................like we have been saying. I see that the reality is you are just an Optima nut-hugger, so you why not write them a letter expressing your incredibly difficult and totally un "googleable" question? I mean it would obviously be too hard to read the spec sheet on the two and see the differences..............at least for you.

I'm going with Electrical field engineer for the US Government at a Nuclear Power Plant. Dealing mainly with Emergency Battery Back-up and Transfer. But i know NOTHING about batteries......................

Your just doing low blow stuff now...was that even really needed dude?...
was any of your guys shyt comments needed? no, 0 people on here have answered red vs yellow. and while not a lot of action at the other site, there are at least 5 solid answers there so far. was hoping to get 5 or 10 from here as well. but instead i got 5 soon to be 10 PAGES of nonsense. moral of the story is, if you cant decide between 2 items, never post it on a forum as people will do ANYTHING but choose between those 2 items.

and p.s maybe you should take a look at the stuff he started saying to me first in the older posts.

dear god, i know you're a fable creature, but could you please answer red vs yellow for me? or at least convince someone with some knowledge on here to? thanks.

Maybe you should listen to people that have already wasted their money on your choices and consider their advice and suggestions.

honestly, and i really mean this. i would if it werent for the fact myself and my family have 6 red tops, not a single issue ever. so once again another wasted post and red or yellow?

just curius here, if you're so smart, why did you ever get an optima battery to begin with?

engineer doesn't mean you know **** about what your job is.

actually seems like you of all people would know the answer then to red vs yellow. of those 2 and only those god damned 2, which one is better for car audio and why? even if both are shytty, surely, one is less shytty in your opinion since you're a battery expert.
