Optima Yellow top Or XS Power Battery?

I can't determine my cause of corrosion only on my negative battery terminal so I'm just going to get a new battery.

I have a yellow top now but am wondering if I should go the other route and get an xs power battery?

Pros and Cons ?

How old is the yellow top?
What kind of car....
How about some terminal spray...
We use this on all fords when we service the battery...
Not this brand per say but Im sure its all the same...

Some battery terminals just develop corrosion over time & need some help....
Seems like a waste to throw a battery at it just cuz.....

The rust on the battery terminal is from water seeping from above the hood, inside the engine condensation from the radiator, and other water droplets from the environment. Cooler weather, icy weather, and then drying out over the battery. You can sand paper it out. The battery will still work good and no issues to it. That would do.​

If you have to replace the battery...I'd grab a Duracell agm. They're fairly cheap and have worked just fine in my vehicles

Ok, thanx fellas, the battery is located in the trunk, 2019 Camaro. Battery was purchased no ember 2023.

I got corrosion cleaner and prevention, brushes, sandpaper, towels. The next thing I want to get is felt rings and soak them.

I'm removing all my audio equipment today and too unsure to reinstall, to be honest the issues didn't occur until after I installed front and rear cameras by way of the cigarette lighter, which also powered Oracle led lights, I did notice one bulb is discolored on a led light. and my cellphone wire also went wacky, so I'm thinking that it's a high possible source of electrical overload or disruption.

Check out the glowe voltage batteries. They might fit your need for a reserve battery.

I thought you talking about a starting battery...Duracell is a good choice for that
