im not here to rag. im here to find out if red or yellow top is a better battery for my specific situation and what i WANT out of a battery. posted a pic of my car too above

ok, agreed. so please prove me wrong. here is what i need deafwish:
1) side post terminals along with top post terminals and the top post MUST have a cap to cover it

2) i need minimum 700cca and 900ca

3) i need it to be a lightweight performance batter, must be UNDER 35 pounds

4) i need to be able to be half way across the country and get a battery replacement the same day, and once inside the store within 15 minutes or so. something very easy like the battery i have pointed out thus far.

5) 3 year warranty MINIMUM

6) if it has all these features it needs to be cheaper than the optima for the deciding factor. if it is more expensive than obviously i would expect it to have ALL these features + some of them BETTER than the optima.

so now that you'd like to show me how i shouldnt have started this thread in the first place, please enlighten me with a battery like this. if you do, my hats off to you and ill bow down and admit openly on here i should not have put red top and yellow top as my only 2 options. fair? look forward to hearing back from you, lets see what you come up with my battery options are so bad. i actually hope you do find me one with ALL of those features that is better, because then id buy it. however from my months of research, im yet to find a battery with all of that. thanks and good luck!
I'm sorry, but YOUR criteria is not reasonable for ANY respectable and PROVEN battery suitable for a strong audio system. The weight limit, proves you aren't serious about audio. The fact that you didn't bother to see that XSPower offers side terminal bars for their batteries, show you haven't researched. The warranty coverage of 3 years shows that you base what you want off of Optima's features. But, from the 6 points, an AutoZone Duralast dual post meets your criteria and beats the Optima in most. Price and warranty to name a few. But it isn't any more an audio battery than the Optima. Any more questions?

Honestly, this says it all. Not trying to rag either, but you simply expect too much from a battery. If they have worked well for you then go for it, but I would never put one in my car.

so you're saying you havent found a battery that matches what I WANT and came to this thread asking about yet? wow, well when you do let me know. Serious about car audio?? no, i like a decent system, thought i could use some input because i decided between 2 batteries and wanted to know which is better for my specific application as the red or the yellow will do fine in my car, but obv 1 is prob better than the other and i was letting you guys (or so i thought) give me my determinig factor between the optimas (better car audio out of the 2). i knew i wanted optima, it was up to you guys to decide for me if red or yellow was better. anyways, when you find that battery let me know. dont make yourself look like a jackass after calling me out. i gave you everything i wanted (the optima has it all) and you said the optima is shyt. so since its shyt, just link me to the better battery with all the features i need! thanks dude!

keep in mind. i had decided the optimas because it is what i want for my car system, everything from performance starting to looks to side post to cost to ease of access warranties ect. i am using it as a battery to start my car first. from there, i just figured you guys could say "hey, this is not the best battery for audio, but since you are set on these 2 batteries since they fit your specific situation the best, the better of the two is XXXX top because of XXXXXXXXXXXXXX."

Did you read? I gave you a battery that met your 6 point list and beat the Optima on a few points. What's your malfuction?

Hmm weight difference is epic fail sauce. A 20 pound difference isnt gonna mean much in a true sports car unless you actually race and abuse the car. Even then it might improve a 1/4 mile time by like half a second or something by going 20 pounds lighter. Me personally I love my dekas...2 in the back and soon going to replace the little temp battery with a new deka. Idfc about weight...im more interested about car audio.

You came into a car audio forum asking what is better for a car audio related task. You got an answer and you started spewing facts as to why you think optima is better. When in reality optima isnt really that great for car audio. Different people different views...you got someones opinion and shot it down...then people with experienced with both car audio and optima shot optima down and you got defensive.

If you dont like getting opinions from someone then stop asking for help and get the hell up off these forums.

funny how no one at caf had a problem with the question. they realized i was set on red or yellow. and strictly gave me the facts on which of the two they would choose and why. but nice contribution to the thread, really helps out my first question.

cant go with it because of 1 of my 8 original points back in the thread was no corrosion. and while this is supposably a no corrosiion battery, i want a dry cell battery and that feature is important to me. also the optima looks better in my opinion not that looks really matter. also type optima vs duralast gold into google search, everyone is tearing apart the dura. however i seriously do appreciate you trying to find a better one for me. but i really think its the red or yellow top for me. so once again. out of the "two shytty optimas red and yellow" as you guys would say, which of the 2 is better for car audio and why? thanks!
