Maybe a new build...

Ok, so I built my last setup over last winter and I'm looking at maybe building a new setup over this winter depending upon how much $$$ I can get and etc. I do have size limitations on the amp and box but I currently don't have my car with me so I have no dimensions to work with. That is not a problem right now anyways. My car right now has a 120amp alt but I haven't done the big 3 or anything significant to the electrical system. If I was to run a redtop under the hood, 120amp alt, big3 and maybe a batt in the back, could I be looking at pushing 1500rms? 2000rms? (I think 2k rms is doubtful but I'd love to). My plan would be to build a new box for a single 12" and strap the amp to the back of that box. The box would be rear firing and ported maybe with aero's. What do you guys think? Most of the parts I'd be buying new or slightly used.
