My stock front battery is finally going out and bviously Im going to need one asap because its my daily driver. Its for a 3.1L 6cyl sedan with a 200a alt and itll eventually have near 3k watts in it but not for a while. I have a NSB 90 and Ill install that in the trunk as soon as I get a tray and like one more fuse holder. Im looking to spend about 150 or no more than 200. I found a new optima Red top 34/78 for 165 but Id like more choices.

Not sure how much room you have under the hood, but a Group 31 batt will not likely fit. From the description you gave, it sounds like a GM sedan. I think you will have some trouble installing the HC1400 under the hood because of the height. A better fit would be the HC1200. it is like a short version of the HC1400.

The Redtop 34/78 is an exact fit though. As long as you don't deep cycle the Redtop, it would be OK to use, but it will never give you the power that a Kinetik or other deep cycle can.
