Those subs didnt last him though, IIRC hes got them reconed MANY times

hell if you arent reconing subs then you arent pushing them to the limit...i know iamamp3pimp has reconed a couple times....its all to find out the limit you have and getting all the dbzzzz you can get.

Well everyone raves how they can feed them 3k each and they will laugh at it but havent seen it done yet or should i say proven yet da box king has had lots of issues with his on his vr4000D.. But could be operater error hope all goes well..

been running a 3500D on each of my HDC's all year. 4.5cubes per sub and I demo full tilt for 5-10 minutes at a time with no issues. Car is a daily driver, so they have a ton of playing time plus about 20 comps this year. Last 2 comps I wired the amps down to .25ohm and they took it like a champ. Had to roll up the volume slowly, so it was much longer then just a burp.

And they sound **** good on music and put up good numbers. Ask anyone on here who's heard my set up...

nice amp..... meh on the subs man.... like already stated i have yet to c an aq take 3k... even thou the box is small u will cook the shit out of the subs on that amp! what load u gona wire to? that seems to have been overlooked lol

Sleepy runs an mm4000.1 on each of his AQ's and I run an AQ3500D on each of mine. We beat the crap out of our stuff every chance we get and they hold up fine.

Maybe you just didn't know what you were doing...

box is really small, so that will def help you. Crazy small for daily tho.

and as for my problems. My 2nd box was better, but the suspension could not take the power/ type of music.

the new suspension WAS VERY MUCH NEEDED, AND WAS ABOUT TIME. I do believe the new recones are much better and would do the job. Also mine did not heat up too easily in my 2nd box, but it was the mechanical limits of the sub.

sure some subs can take more than they are rated but if they are gettin clean rated or over power they will last longer than your amp.

x2 on smaller box should handle the power better... Should have made it a little bigger though... could have done 3x 6" ports... looks a little short on port for your box size

Yea he's got 4 HDC3-A now but might be reconing them to the new coopers soon.

Not necessarily ever taken a sub and put 2k on a 400 rms sub...i have doesnt get pretty...well the smoke is pretty...

agreed well partially...they should last a long while in a perfect world...oh wait i forgot this isnt a utopia so they are bound to go out at some point

if i recall correctly thor has tested the limits of hdc310's and has had to recone multiple times...so like i said if you are testing the mechanical and thermal limits of a sub to squeeze every tenth of a db out of your system then yes you are bound to be reconing the subs....or maybe you dont compete and just want the hard daily beating system...your choice but i go with the former over the latter.
