Looking for a little bit of legal advice for a ticket.

$30K a year? what hick town do you stay in? my bro makes $65K as a patrol man and does various side jobs where he either sits around reading, watching movies, or sleeping.
my sister is a Lt, has a masters, and also graduated from the FBI academy to carry a concealed firearm on airlines. she also does some off duty work and clocks about $150K a year.

makes people rethink being cops doesnt it?
did he make 65k his 1st year on the job? Did I mention this cop was specifically a 10 year veteran making 30k a year? No, perhaps you should read posts before you start babbling about what your relatives make and making up facts I did not present...and no it does not make me re-think becoming a cop.

he did probation at $36K a year with OT he clocked about $45K

he also traded security work for his apartment rent which was a bit over $9K a year so yes, he made more than $30K

we have the best collective bargaining agreement in the state and second in the nation. so you dog on me for making an assumption, while you also are making an assumption. he is also only in his 4th year. so you are barking up the wrong tree you dick sucker.

here is a link if you dont believe me, add on top of that the $20+/hour off duty security pay. the only officers that make less than $30K a year here are the county sherrif, but they get alot more opportunity for offduty security than the municipal police department.

I believe you, it was a general statement. cops dont make 400k a year running street patrol only. if they did, they would certainly not be ticketing people for wearing clothes in their car like the OP did. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

BTW where did i say he was a 10 year veteran? you place blame in assumption, but do the same shit. you will win no arguments with your stupidity...
I did it to prove a point..you must have misunderstood. No hard feelings. You came in all cocky whining about how much your relatives make, so I threw the same BS you threw at me.

I think someone else mentioned it, but to state it again, maybe you need to just pay the ticket? Sometimes it's their way of making quota (It is the end of the month) and what not. So indeed, sometimes stupid shit happens.

I guess don't go to Taco Hell late at night anymore......or wear your hoodie up, lol!

Also if you do go to court, he may not show up and the judge may dissmiss it. Or he will be there and have his story vs yours and as dumb as it sounds, you may walk out there paying more than just the ticket. They do have court costs.

I say pay it, it won't go on your record, whoever said that. Is just a minor offense that shouldn't be anyway. Sucks, but best of luck to ya.

Technically, there is a law, it is called "Obstruction of vision or control" Since you have almost no periferal vision with a hood up. Either the cop was having a horrible day, or he didnt like the color of your car... I dunno, Id make a court date on that one.
