how about i tell you guys what i actually want, and you recommend me something.

i want my sub and system to go DEEP, and low as ****...to the point of people being scared as i drive by (if i would have it up that loud). i am willing to sacrifice SPL for the deep solid earthquake bass.

ported will be louder, yes, but will it go as deep low and hard as a sealed environment?

ported will go just as low if you tune to say, 30hz or 32hz. i will always recommend ported, but thats just me. the flatter response isnt a necessity to me.

sealed will go lower (yes contradicting to what i said), but whats the point if even the lowest most rap goes is in the low 30hz range. do you really need extension down into the low 20hz range, and is that worth sacrificing output to you?

ported will get you heard more, if that's your intention, assuming its done right. the way you have the sub and port facing, and the vehicle it's in will have more to do with that than the sub itself in most cases. what kind of vehicle?

i want to go low and from what people were saying... sealeds dont go as LOUD, but they sound much better as far as reproducing most notes whereas ported boxes have set tunings..

what do i do? i mean i know its up to me, but im getting people saying that for what i want i can use ported or sealed..

was it because i was using 6 cubes @ 35hz i wasn't getting the sound i liked?

will 9 cubes @ 30 or 32hz be a huge difference?

or will sealed be the best way to go to just rumble the shit out of stuff?

you want rumble? you need a larger sized box with a low tuning. ported....

Yea do a large box tuned ~32.

just go with the 9 cubes @ 34 then...i prefer a little lower if im aiming for low bass like you are, but its really up to you. 2hz wont make a HUGE differnce.

if you want ultra low just use the 30hz. it will peak lower.
