You're fine, I agree.

Even the voice coils use special glue that doesn't stink when it gets warm.
That sub is full of goodness including SQ and doesn't get any credit cause everybody's too afraid/too broke to spend money on them.

First of all, I like the coils tantric used on my N3's. They have a distinct smell that warns me to ease up a bit.

Second, I assure you that I am not too broke to buy some shitty Rockfords.. seriously..

no not right now.need to weld some quarters on, and floor.

i have already replaced both fender, core support, phantom grill ( looks sick ) .

have to do both rear quarters, driver side rocker panel.

also customizing the tail gate. put a recessed plate, welded all holes, shaved the lock/handle.

spent $1,2000 just in parts. and im not done.....

I love those phantom grilles. Definitely keep me updated

I do fully agree about the foam surrounds though. Nothing wrong with them.

Read down the page some. Do you have any idea how much the upgrade cones cost?
Alex can give you a idea. Keep in mind they are made in house in the U.S.

Yep, I've got three DD composite/kevlar cones. Used, the pair of 15" cones was $300. New they would have been $350.

Are they necessary?? Not for my application.

For those who care, here are some pictures. I will be removing everything shortly, and building a proper ported box. The IB setup was just as loud as my Z ported, but dug a bit lower. I want something louder.

If you don't like it, go somewhere else. Why waste your time commenting. Some people are legitimately interested in my build.

Got six yardsale neopro 8's and will be doing door pods soon.

Got 10 gallons of polyester fiberglass resin and red dye for the enclosure.I'll be fiberglassing the floor, roof, and pretty much everything too. Inside of the box will be waxed for maximum SPL. I'm going all-out SPL now. Hopefully I get that 20k.

Will also be burping my Z with a Boss "4k" when I have time.

I was planning to take everything out today, but it's raining and I need to leave for work soon.

Will hopefully do my door pods in the near future.

the baffle was quickly thrown together to meet a deadline. The ported box will be done slower and the right way. I'll also carpet it with the same fur I used around the M4a:

I plan to meter at the passenger headrest. I feel like this is the best number to use. That's what matters to me, because that is where peoples' ears are when I demo.

Yes, it does extend into the front compartment. I can take more pictures of that tomorrow. Since the amp and batteries take up all the room in the back trunk, I now put things up front. Once I make a proper ported enclosure, I will literally have NO storage compartments, lol.

I'm going all out SPL now

Subs are all chilling in the Kitchen until I decide to carry them upstairs. I already took the amp to my room, so nothing scratches it.
