JL audio w7 v.s. ______

I believe they are in production but miscommunication and other BS has delayed the shippment for a long while...that's why he said good luck or whatever

I have noticed that lack of mention of the number of W7 failures, I have heard of way to many recently and have seen way to many go down in comps not to say someting, and dont say oh its all about the install, there have been a few guys that are great installers and built nice boxes and the W7's still failed, nad its not like they were burping them with 5000watts or anything, well with in their bounds, for the money and the performance per dollar the W7 is SO SO not worth it at all, I would prefer a CRYSTAL CMPX2 over a W7

there I have said my piece, I am just so **** tired of the JL hype, I have heard the W7 plenty of times, great sub, but no where close to the GOD like position it has been hyped up to be

I felt that I already had commented on everything previously in the thread. But I don't have a problem answering them again. I will try to get back here after work today and take care of it for you.

So until then, I wish you all a wonderful day.

Heh...I never saw a reply to the statement I made.

To my knowledge, the entire Nine.x project has been totally scrapped. They decided instead of making their own line of amps they would buy Avionixx and make them a part of eD.

As the story goes, the Nine.x's were shipped to the US but lacked some very important paperwork and were sent back without eD's knowledge. Then the build house they were using over seas went out of business. Something to that effect, but you get the jist.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

There are supposed to be a few of the nine.x line of amps floating around Korea somewhere...maybe Paikiah should begin a treasure hunt.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I meant that the points you brought up toward me I have already addressed previously. Not that I had made a specific response. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that. I was typing that message as I was heading out the door for work.

Originally posted by RangerMan Stephen, no offense intended by this remark, but it seems that you have an obvious bias towards Adire Audio. Of every post of yours that I have viewed, 95% of them are about or pertaining to Adire and the Brahma. Honestly, I can't see how you are able to make any educated remarks about the E12A unless you have heard with your ears what this driver is capable of.
I agree that I do have a bias toward Adire. In fact I even admited it a couple posts back. Originally I noticed that Dan had a great online personality. Plus he made some great products, so I contacted him and became a dealer. Since then he has been extremely generous. He has taught me quite a bit about speaker engineering and other things. In fact, he stayed the night at my house a month or two ago. Anyway, he taught me how to read the curves and know what the sub will sound like based on those curves.

The original question was asking which sub will perform as well, if not better than the W7 (which is another sub I have not heard personally). I answered which sub will perform nearly as well. The A was also suggested, but the curves show that it will have more distortion than the W7 or Brahma at pretty much any level. This to me does not match the performance of the W7, so I said it wasn't as close performance wise. My conclusions were confirmed by others who have experience with all the subs in question. So I feel my conclusions are justified, and I am justified in giving them.

SQ = minimal, or near NIL movement... Check the B12 motor curve within the first 3-5mm of travel... How linear is it.... CHECK AGAIN...

Oh... it's not... its slightly lopsided... Does it sound bad? Not in the slightest fricking bit...

That's where the discussion takes place.

Would you like to continue?

I have seen DUMAX reports of TCS prototypes that are RULER flat... RULER flat with respect to motor force, and nearly as flat with respect to suspension capabilities. WELL past what the currently available XBL2 variants are producing.

But... You can continue to roll your eyes and sneer... Others will draw their own conclusions.

So then why do these SQ subs have such huge excursions if they are useless? This included the A series.

Now you have me curious. I would love to see those as well, and see what they are doing to get that. Maybe an underhung design with a really tall top plate? But even still, how does this information help what's being argued becides prove that TC Sounds agrees with me?

Markeneering.

I seem to recall a time when YOU were happy with the paltry amount of excursion that the adst driver offered.

I can't show them right now if memory serves me correctly.

TCS agrees with you? Ummm... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

This information was stated because I'm tired of watching you roll your eyes at any TC sounds derived product and act like they don't have a clue. The capability is there for them, nobody wants to pay for it at this point though, and thats fine, because they are doing quite well without implimenting it.

You have no idea what goes on behind their closed doors, so don't assume you do. There are certain things nobody is let in on, for whatever reason they so choose.
