pay no attention to the dork in the background, I have no idea who it is.

I got this pic from a fairly large forum site, and claims to give out MASSIVE SPL...

ARGH! I should've known.....

market-wise, this is what the ED A's are up against.

(Ben, I'm still awaiting your email reply... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif)

Quite honestly. A A series with the exception of the 15 maybe will EVER hold the amount of power the 9515 can. Just a big sub, built quite impressivly. Interestingly build, but well..... It doesn't exactly just fall apart.

As far as emails //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I'm behind, so i'm here on the computer trying to catch up. lol, but on the forums.

naw it's a DD...im pretty sure that only DD puts those red and black wires directly on the sub. that box...i dont know. i think its just a weird ported box.

trust me, there are much weirder boxes around here...

Korean cars do not have large bootspace, and most do not ever think of sacrificing space, so that's why subtle sized ED subs are ideal here..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm building a sorta weird box myself, exchangable port, to see what I can come up with. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Pics to follow in about 2 weeks when I get the MDF, plexi and tint film, together with hoodpin secured components. You'll see why when I'm finished.

(Ben, it'd be great if I could talk to you via messenger, private messaging, phone or something... business-wise //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif)

True...

the orange-haired dude's post also says that the sub will be linked to dual 1200w RMS amps... that's 1200w RMS per coil //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

the most anyone has attempted in Korea was 1600w RMS per coil on the 9515. Reached 170.1dB with a single sub, but I just dunno if the mic was linear X or some handheld crap.

That's just starting to tickle the 9515 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

in that small a box? The port doesn't look as if it's tuned too high either... daily driver madness....

which, to me, seems as if you don't need as much power to acquire intended results as a small box.

Ok, put it easier so I don't confuse myself:

a. 1 cuFt box sealed

b. 3 cuFt ported, 25Hz

c. 3 cuFt ported, 55Hz

It would seem as if [c] would require least amount of power (efficient) to reach the same level of SPL.

No? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage
