JL 10W7 sub...

jeezzz people....

of course a HU is gonna affect sound quality at higher volumes...no one ever buys expensive stuff to listen to it at volume 1!!! unless you wanna put it at 1 and put your ear up to it and listen to it lol.. get some aftermarket speakers for yourself and keep the 10w7 and the 500/1... the 500/1 is 500 RMS people not 500 Max, so it will will run 500 or more continuous to it. and after you buy some aftermarket speakers then save some money to get a decent head unit... and everyone... just quit fighting! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

ok any HU you buy will distort at high volumes: PERIOD. it doesnt matter how expensive it is. the only thing that can fix this is the get a 4 channel amp, which pretty much eliminates distortion at high volumes.

well duh of course any head unit will distort, but a aftermarket one will distort less than a stock at the same volume. and for subs... a mono amp is the best for them even though some may think that AB amps will give less distortion. a 2 channel amp or 4 should be good for aftermarket speakers and will sound better than just coming off the HU.

no no no he recommends a factory hu...... lol

a factory HU huh...have fun distortin your stuff when your friend is havin fun playin his stuff cleaner at a higher volume! silly people need to know more about car audio... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

100% agree (guess that's why you bout to get a w6v2 right? lol )

hell ya JL all the way...

even though JL is overpriced, when you find stuff cheap its the best stuff because it is clean at high volumes and has good SQ. thats why the 500/1 and the w6v2 go together good! along with a nice pioneer HU and some good aftermarket speakers!

ok this thread is about a guy with a 2003 accord coupe. the HUs in there are good, and they will not distort AT ALL with a 4 channel amp to the speakers. yea a new HU will distort less than a factory without an amp, but a 4 channel amp hooked up to either a factory or new HU will see very little difference. you better know what you are telling me im stupid for before you start callin me a retard. geez
