Is 600 watts too much for a kicker 2010 comp VR?

I'm trying to decide between a Power Acoustik D1-3000DB or an Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D amp to power two kicker 2010 comp VRs. First of all the comp VRs have an rms of 400 watts. If I run the BRZ1200.1 D it would be 1200 x 1 channel and a 1 ohm load. The power acoustik would be 900 watts x 1 channel and a 4 ohm load. My only Problem is the power Acoustik isn't CEA-2006 compliant which worries me, but I think the hifonics amp would be too much power. Help!

Get the hifonics. Set gains with a DD1 if you have access to one.

Both cheap amps...I'd go used and get better than both.

But, if your choices, the Hifonics amp. The CVRs will be fine on that amp. My CVRs were some indestructible little suckers.

I don't have access to one.. Do I run the risk of blowing my subs while setting the gains if I get the hifonics?

Search this site and learn to set gains with multimeter you can blow your subs setting gains wrong on any amp

I would also pick the hifonics over the power acoustic should sound fine I'm not sure if kicker and clean belong in the same sentence to begin with but I think you'll be satisfied.

Kicker and clean go together way before hifonics or power acoustik and clean

Clear and loud bass is my definition of clean. Can someone point me to a better amp for them?

Few questions....do u already have the CVRs? Why not go ported? Budget for subs and amp (if u don't have the subs yet) ? Budget for amp only?

the CVR prefers ported. and before my CVR got jacked i was running ~800W to it from a TMA 1000.1 amp.

I have one cvr already. I've heard the 07 cvr ported and it sounded bad . I listen to dubstep, electo house and techno so the bass from the cvr is clean for my music. And my budget is $250

A properly ported sub shouldn't sound noticeably worse than sealed.

At 250 for the amp, look for a used sundown SAZ 1000d or other lower powered sundown amps....also audioque
