Inverting a sub???/

What I am saying, if you load a sub into a box and wire it properly, it will "theoretically" be in phase with the rest of the system.

 

When you invert the sub and wire it reverse as I said, your again "theoretically" starting off again in phase.

 

 

I agree with all the slopes and different things, the phase is probally 180 out already and will need to be changed. It is all up to you ears.

It will be in relative phase, but not necessarily absolute phase (both theoretically and in reality), which is what's really important. The absolute phase will depend on the factors audioholic mentioned such as slope, location, vehicle, etc.....which is why it is best to try it both wired "normal" and wired reverse.
