If you look at that pic the phone is right in front of my eyes and you can see where each speaker is aimed. I hope those silk babies aren't too harsh BUT, they swivel a lot so I should be able to aim them higher if need arises.

I went to Erinsaudiocorner and input my numbers. I guess when it's time, I will start from this point.

I ordered 20ft of 4awg ground cable. I think I now have all the "everythings" to finish the install. 20ft red 4awg, 20ft black 4awg... All that is left is to run the speaker wires from the back to the front, sound deaden both front doors, install the 6.5's, run the power and grounds to the two new amps, power up the DSP and start tuning. All said I am guessing about 4 or 5 hours work with breaks.

Had to order a new speaker clicker device... apparently I lost mine. New polarity tester should arrive soon.

Honestly one of the top 5 best things to purchase for car audio is a polarity checker. Saves so much headache and they don't cost much at all.

I like to use these in the doors also. I drill a 1/4" hole far back on the bottom for a drain hole just in case any water may penetrate. Keeps speakers from water damage inside the door cavity

I am not looking forward to pulling my door panels off. All of my research says these things are shallow behind the speaker.

Its been a while since Ive done shallow mount. I generally would do a door pod to get a deeper speaker and more choices to choose from

Nah... I got shallow CDT mids... they are less than 2" deep. I "think" there is slightly over 2 inches of depth in the doors... at least I hope.

I ordered a 512GB USB 3.2 Flash Drive for the car. The 2TB USB HDD I am using now works great but I have noticed when a solid state memory is connected it loads faster and switches music folders faster than the 2TB drive. I will move that drive back to playing movies duty. 512GB should be plenty for my HiRes Audio and some extra non HiRes music. I ordered a PNY Elite-X Flash Drive. Also, it's small so I can hide it away easier.

If it's not one thing it's another. Yesterday my car acted funny. I have auto off lights when I set the alarm and my dome light fades out. Yesterday I noticed my lights were staying on after I shut off the car and set the alarm. I manually turned off the headlights and paid it no mind. Tonight, with my drivers door open, the dome light does not come on and the car locked itself... with the door open. My brain tells me it should not be the door lock actuator but is most likely the door jam switch. One of 4... at least I hope that's all it is.

Man. Those car alarms can create all kinds of issues. Especially when the car battery voltage gets low. This Heatwave isnt much help on the cars batteries atm
