How would you describe a 18" sub's sound?

Absolutely retarded. They are sealed though at the moment.
I'll Put my thoughts down after I port them as that's what I'm used to.

Sound quality, output, ability to play high or low has nothing to do with cone area and everything to do with overall driver and enclosure design.

What do you think of those Q's, sound quality wise?
I've been thinking of getting one and hanging from my rear deck IB.

I like them, I just don't know how much yet. I'm going to wait till I get them installed the way I want them brfore I make that call.

When I first got them they were a bit biased for the 50-60hz area, but since they've loosened up a little they REALLY filled out the lows nicely.

I did a 142 to music today, which IMO isn't too bad for a "get em' in" sealed trunk setup.

I hear one 18" RE MT and another differend car that had a set-up with a 18" Solo X. Compared to 12s these subs are so much louder. Because of huge cone area the 18" sub is easily heard from outside well which can be a bad thing for the peace lol. umm.. Pushes some major air, With the windows down my shirt moves to the beat when im standing outside of the car. 18s are the coolest. I can't wait till I get my 18" MT.
