How would you describe a 18" sub's sound?

thinking about running 18's for my trucks setup so i need detailed comparisons //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i don't think they sound different. it's not like i can get in a car without knowing anything about it and think, yup thats an 18. that being said, my 18xxx was loud and pretty crisp. never heard a smaller xxx to compare it to though. they take up a lot of room though.

Subs don't have sounds based on cone area. They have sounds based on input signal, room gain, enclosure. Theoretically a bigger sub will get louder and play lower within the same type of enclosure as a smaller one,but if you simply change your box you could make your 18XXX sound just like a 6.5 tangband. It's all in the install. So if you looking for words like sloppy or inaccurate, you won' find them here....

how is the 50-60hz response
Absolutely retarded. They are sealed though at the moment.

I'll Put my thoughts down after I port them as that's what I'm used to.

I'm not going to call it a review though... I got chewed out after doing the last one because a few people didn't find it up to par to be called a review. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Well, that developed into a nice little rant.
