How should I tackle wiring my door/rear deck speakers to an amp?

Is it 12-14 the common spec for a driver or tweeter powered by a typical four channel amp. An exception is scenarios like Popwarhomie. 3k on a door sounds outright rad.

Like 800w total and 625w @4ohm x 4.

Not concerned about the wire itself just wondering if it sounds better to connect directly to the amp or if using the preexisting wire will work just as well as some new ofc

I'd like to go with a bigger amp but im not buying an alternator
