Seriously or being facicous (uh, however you spell that)? I thought you were a 60's - 70's guy.
Haven't heard them in years. Enjoyed their sound, didn't care for their lyrics. Enjoyed their interview on Bob Larson years back.

I found "Demon Hunter" and "East West" to to sound a lot like them, but with lyrics I can deal with.
Nah, just kidding around.

I do enjoy the classic rock, that's for sure.

Not much "Christian" rock from that era, except for maybe Larry Norman and his stuff still rocks! He wasn't very popular in his day though. Regular radio wouldn't play him because he said the name Jesus, and Christian radio wouldn't play him because he didn't sound like a 16th century hymn!

Makes him my kinda guy. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

So are you a fan of Switchfoot, Skillet, Third Day, Kutless, etc ?
- Steve

All those and a host more! Switchfoot is getting a lot of play in my CD lately. Particularly their last two releases (Beautiful Letdown & Learning To Breath). Skillets an old fav. I've meet them on numerous occasions because they only live a state away. John Cooper (lead singer) is the guy in my Avatar.

Did you know these bands already or did you have to google them? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Nope, I've got a few CD's from that genre in my collection.

Cool. I've heard Jars of Clay on a few SQ competitor's CD's. They are primarily acoustic, but with some pretty ecclectic variety. Good stuff. I'd group them with Switchfoot only a little more diverse.

Or Switchfoot........ I can listen to them, being all un-believish //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

LOL! Yeah, good music is just good music. If you could wear out a CD I think my "Learning to Breath" CD has got to be getting close.

I was a little worried when i read the first page of this post, a few people that i have come to admire on this site were saying some pretty terrible things which I hope they didnt mean. I was beginning to wonder if there were any believers here. Then I skipped to the end and realized that yes, there are smart people.

I dont know if im saved yet. But im trying to get closer to the lord.

I'm sure He wishes more people would go about "getting closer to the Lord" instead of trying to figure out what magic formula or rituals they have to fulfill to get themselves "saved". I know from His word that He wants His people to have the assurance of their salvation, but too many people reduce it to a collection of religious dos and don'ts rather then a relationship with their creator.

If you ever want to discuss it, feel free to PM or email me. I can remember making that exact same statement at a younger point in my life.

LOL! And he's not afraid to put too fine a point on it!
