I do not agree with this at all, I believe that if there truly is a god, and an afterlife, as long as you live a fulfilling life and respect your fellow man, you will go to heaven. I don't have any reason to believe that god put us here to worship him and base our entire existence (a great gift) on trying to please him.

Well then, you obviously have a chance (if your beliefs are true). I guess I shouldn't have said "if you don't follow any religion you don't have a chance." Most people probably take that to mean organized religion, but I meant religious beliefs. Even according to the Bible you don't have to follow a religion to go to heaven, you just have to accept Jesus. I'm not a big fan of organized religion myself, every church I've been to distorts (at least somewhat) what the Bible says. I believe what the Bible says, but I don't expect everyone to, and I don't think any less of people who don't believe it.

i understand where your coming from.......but there are negative consequences to letting it run rampent......the rewards we get in heaven will be based on our works on earth........and im sorry to say it but a muslim that fights the flesh will be sent to hell......unfortunatly thats what the Word says....ignorance of the Truth is no excuse........not trying to start anything ......jus stating things from the aspect of my beliefs......

That is exactly what I am trying to point out. Your belief is something you accept as Truth. Truth in this case is not fact. Truth is determined by you. It is completely subjective....period. From someone elses perpective you are also ignorant of the Truth. In other words, Religion is not debatable. You can not argue ones Truth over anothers Truth.

That is exactly what I am trying to point out. Your belief is something you accept as Truth. Truth in this case is not fact. Truth is determined by you. It is completely subjective....period. What you must realize is that you can't have two conflicting views both be truths. One is correct and one is incorrect. At some point in time all will know what is the truth. Let's say you say deodorant causes cancer I say no. One of us has the correct truth while the other doesn't. Now when it comes to heaven/hell religion etc. we will all know one day who is correct. You may not be able to change someones personal beliefs but that doesn't mean everyone is right. But I do agree with you when you say it is difficult/no debatable. I learned this from philosophy class. You can argue anything and if you have a solid argument based on core beliefs and points then the opposer will not be able to use your core beliefs and points against you because they must use the words as they are defined by your definition. So everytime they try ripping you a part you say, no that's not true because that isn't the definition of that particular word or point.

ehhhh... i dunno bout that one, but you cannot get to heaven based on deeds ya know... that wat many or all of the religions are about. Christianity i believe says that if you truly believe that Jebuss died for our sins came to life and Is god, then its all bueno. From there, your life will start to change, and you will want to change for the better.

Other people say that they can just say that they are a christian, but are they really, only God knows thier hearts. And God will judge in the end who goes to heaven or not. Heck, ghandi might even go to heaven he embraced the christian teachings, but when he went to church, they turned him down (stoopid chruch....). he said something like, Your christ i love your christ not the christians. And for someone who never even heard about god, He will judge based on their knowledge. God aint some unloving dictator.

But if we bring back my deodorant example. If the individual that believes deodorant causes cancer says that the other individual may be correct, then deep down they truly don't fully believe that deodorant causes cancer. This is why I say one day we will all know what the truth is. I do see what you mean though. From an outsiders view that has not made up their mind on what side to take they will get the impression that no one's truth is somehow superior.

First off, I will say that I do attend Church. I guess you could say that I am even a born-again Christian. I am not ashamed to admit it. I have recently talked to my friends and others about GOD and JESUS. Some realize what time we are in. Some of them really didn't seem to care what I was telling them.

I know that I had to try to bring them into Church because I don't want their blood on my hands. So, why not talk to my fellow members on the forum?

So, how many of you are actually SAVED? I am not concerned about denomination because to me it doesn't matter...just as long as you are an active Christian.

I'm not looking for any flaming or anything but if that's what you feel, then so be it. I just pray for each and every one of you BUT, my prayers can't change your salvation. There is only one person whom you can go through. That is JESUS CHRIST! Remember, time is short. Don't be foolish.

Ok, first off I respect your opinion. Believe what you like and do what you want. But, the idea of a god, a supernatural highpower was MADE UP by early humans. When humans were first evolving (if you dont believe evolution you are a waste of life, logical thinking is all we have up on cows. Dont shit on your humanity.) Religous beliefs started when man's brains had enough logical understanding to get that everything came from somewhere, but not enough scientfic knowlage to explain it. They made up some shit that started as a harmless fariytale, a santa claus, and it snowballed into a huge *** support group for those scared of the fact that they will die. RELIGION IS A PRODUCT OF HUMAN CREATIVITY. Its very simple, but knowone thinks anymore, the TV said it and everyone else thinks it so.... come on. If you are right than 70% of the world (non-christians) are wrong. And everyone born before jesus was wrong. And everyone who has *** is commiting ****** because we all came from adam and eve. T-H-I-N-K!!! Religion is the opposite of intelligence, read a calculas book or some shit if you want truth. Real Sad.

Thank "god" for you. No! Thank, the miracle of human evolution that lets you think things through. Better yet thank knowone, and just except the truth. All beliefs of humans exist in our thoughts, in our minds. If the sun just exploded in 8 min. all would all be vaporized into space faster than you can think. No meaning, no truth, no jesus. ALL GONE and wed never even know. Religion, politiics, god, right and wrong, hate, love and all language based beliefs of human kind is forever erased. God doesnt do jack crap. Noone's prayers are awnsered and we are all living the only life we have. An afterlife???
