Actually if he wasn't to hold his belief in jesus as his savior above others beliefs that would make him hypocritical. Afterall if he believes in jesus he probably believes Jesus when he says "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. THe only way to the Father is through me." and the another statement that says "God so loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life." Read John if you want more details. So really if he believed other ways of getting into heaven he would be contradicting his own belief afterall it does say that is the only way to heaven.

No, no you got it wrong. I don't fault him for believing that Jesus is the way and the truth etc etc.... I fault him because his very belief depends on a little something called Faith. He Blindly believes the words that he reads and hears and so do so many other organized religious people. Yet, he completely disregards their Faith which is ultimately the same logic behind his belief system.....hence it is Hypocritical. Well they believe Jesus was a created being. They believe the Trinity is three separate gods. Rather than one god.

Just because I don't conform to a specified set of guidelines doesn't mean I don't have beliefs that are at the core of everything I do. I can confidently say that I'm more motivated by my beliefs than many of the church going folk that I've met.

Christians, Catholics, Muslims, whatever, it's all the samething practiced in a different way. It's a way to explain things that you can't explain in a way the average joe can comprehend.

Two previous post don't truly understand Jesus. Let's say a person says they believe in Jesus and they **** and murder people. Saying you believe Jesus is your savior doesn't mean you're going to heaven, as your heart will be judged. I can't judge whether that person was a true believer but God can. As I believe I have said before there are people that go to church that will not make it to heaven because they are going just to go or look like a believer. This is why I see no point in putting a gun to someone's head to try and force them to believe. Even if they say they believe, in their heart they do not. Then there are murderers and rapest that will be in heaven. Why does god allow this? Because no man is perfect. Every man has done evil over the course of his life. Jesus didn't come for the perfect.

As for raping and killing someone's mom, if you do that you will receive consequences here on earth for that.

I didn't even mention Jesus, who I (actually) beleive existed.

Jesus isn't my homeboy.

And the Bible isn't the word of GOD to be taken in it's most literal form. It's a translation (at best) of God's word through man... and shit get's lost in translation.

I never claimed to know Jesus and people that do are kidding themselves. You never knew Jesus, so what makes you such an authority on how he really was?

Don't patronize me, I understand the Bible and the concept of salvation. What I stated is true according to the Bible and the Christian teachings, no matter what you did or keep doing is not a factor for salvation. Once you truly accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour all your sins are washed away and you are "Born Again" and if you happen to commit a sin while saved i.e. murder, you will be forgiven. You can be the meanest most hateful POS but still can end up saved and spend eternity in heaven and yet a good hearted, hard working, family man who happens to be Jewish

won't even get a shot because his Faith is just as strong, and he will spend eternity in Hell.

As I said before fortunately I'm not the individual that will judge the heart of these people. Someone superior to all humans will. The bible teaches that although your sins are forgiven you are to fight the flesh, not let it run rampant.

Yes but if it does run rampant there is no negative eternal consequence for Christians. Yet a Muslim that fights the flesh will be cast to hell. According to the Bible ofcourse.

i understand where your coming from.......but there are negative consequences to letting it run rampent......the rewards we get in heaven will be based on our works on earth........and im sorry to say it but a muslim that fights the flesh will be sent to hell......unfortunatly thats what the Word says....ignorance of the Truth is no excuse........not trying to start anything ......jus stating things from the aspect of my beliefs......

i'm catholic, grew up in a muslim country, most of my childhood friends were buddhists, and have quite a number of preacher friends.

Now, to find me a jewish person to further extend my religious base.

I don't care who or what you believe in, live a good and honest life.
