hifonics maxximus vs incriminator audio 40.1

What the hell are you talking about?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
lol i dont know. it just sounds like hes pissed off to hear an opinion thats differing from his.

tommy doesnt run kicker subs either....

Which is pretty obvious if he would read through my sig.
i think he just saw the kicker license plate in your sig and went by that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

hey tommy...are you getting your headrest scores up? sure seems like you are not far behind on the headrest from the dash

my bad no i'm just saying i think the man that made the amps would know more about what they can do than anyone else....and he said a pair of 40s starpped at 18 volts 16000 watts

tommy didnt say they cant to it. he said there was no mention of impedance. so it not safe to assume its going to be @ 1 ohm per amp.

in fact its safer to assume its a super low load, that way if it IS at 1 ohm, you just got yourself some accidental headroom which is never a bad thing.

Nick would probably have to come back and clarify.

Obviously a manufacturer is going to step in here and give his products a rave review, but it's also fair to say that not every user is going to get the same results that a manufacturer claims.

We only got 2300 watts out of a 20.1 at .25 nominal (1 ohm reactive), which is far less than others have claimed to have gotten and less than what IA says they are capable of.

i wouldnt say that. when i talked to nick he said 2200 - 2800 is what he had emailed me was the average for the 20.1's.

so your 2.3k and typerbass's 2.45kw seem to be well within his expected wattage. just my .02c

Well, others have told me to expect 3kw+ out of a 20.1, I guess I shouldn't have said directly from IA.

Though you won't see them denying such claims either. At least I haven't.

Were you around for our whole 20.1 vs. 2500d test where a lot of IA nuthuggers got butt hurt and tried to say that we rigged the test?

i wasnt around, but i have read that entire thread.

i dont know why the IA guys got all pissed off (although i did see, that but then again people that have never even used kicker rode the kicker dick too lol). i mean the 20.1 beat the zx2500.1 on the TL and they still complained. yes the kicker went into protect and maybe it would of gotten a higher score if it would of been wired a little higher and gotten a full burp off, but it couldnt do it when going against the 20.1 at the load it was.

151.X out of the kicker and 152 flat out of the 20.1 (both were wired to .25 ohms IIRC) on 4 dd's and people were *****ing. i dont get it.

i have owned a 20.1 and now own a kx2500.1 and i absolutely LOVE both amps and IMO both are very capable amps. i dont know maybe im an idiot.

Bottom line is it depends on who you talk to. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Both are definitely capable amps in the right hands and I think both have their place.

But that whole thing was a bit of a tangent since this is a 40.1 vs. maxximus thread. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

true both amps do have their place. i know i wouldnt want to run the 20.1 @ .25 ohms everyday lol.

but yes, we are going slightly off topic here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

1.4 ohms strapped (.7 each) with a 3.2 ohm imp rise!
