hifonics maxximus vs incriminator audio 40.1

if the 40.1 is so underrated then why did USACi test these amps and they are close enough to their rated power (on 14.4 volts) that they didn't have to rerate them??? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif (Same as the 20.1)
well a test on this site for the 20.1 showed 2.4+kw @ .98ohms at 11.1 volts....

pretty good for an amp rated @ 1.8kw @ 1 ohm @ 14v (unless IA rates them @ 12v, but either way you know what im getting at)

nick himself sent me an email saying the 20.1' average between 2.2 and 2.8kw

apples and oranges bro.
A single 40.1 vs single Goliath would be a little better comparison and would both be good choices depnding on your application, impedence rise etc etc either could edge the other one out

But a maxximus vs a 40.1 no contest
I agree! If you compare a 40.1 to a Goliath in terms of power its close to the same. If you compare 2 40.1's to a Maxximus, same thing again, still close.

Only big difference is price.

MSRP on 40.1's = $2399 x 2 = $4798

MSRP on Max's = $9999 x 1 = $9999

Your choice!

ok so i have done some figures...a competitor i know who is has a lot of experiance with the 40.1s told me at 18 volts they do 40% more power and that is at 1 ohm...so...2 40.1s-3600x2=7200+40%=10080 watts!!!!!

well i dont know how accurate/inaccurate that figure is.

but if they are like the 20.1's they do quite a bit more than rated power (ie probably mid-upper 4kw, but thats just a guess based on teamsubgopoof comparing it to the goliath which is 5kw. both he and nick said they were close so thats where im taking my quess from)

so IF, and only IF that figure is accurate, youd see way more than 10kw using 18V.

I think its at 12.8

Its not 9,999

it around 3,200 online

get 2 autotek mm4000s and strap them 8k+ for under 2k$
Yehhhh.....their not strappable:p:....but good try

Next door neighbor has 2 40.1s strapped at .7(.35amp) and they rise to about 2.2ish and make 7500 between the pair....sooo decently underrated...3600@1ohm and it does that power @2ohm

Id say 4200-4500 at 1ohm reactive isnt out of the question for these amps...but all what the others have said

o okay...nobody buys msrp lol
same applies for the 40.1. you can still get 2 40.1 for the same price as the maxximus IIRC.

hell there was a reputable member selling 1 time used 40.1's for $750 shipped a couple months back. 8-10kw for $1500 sounds pretty good to me...

not sure what use maxximus' go for, so ill leave it out.

Yep, at the amplifiers. I get the same 14.7 volt reading when they cutoff too.

Pull it and test it at the battery post. Simple Power up test to verify if it powers up fine out of protect mode. if it does then Id be checking...

Yes, they are painted. The cover is very easy to take off and repaint to whatever color of choice to match the install.

They all say they are in stock but they aren't. Just like my SSA Zcons and Evils were "in stock" but had a super long build time.
