incorrect, the yellow wire must have 12v constant, red gets 12v switched. Black is ground. if your unit is not turning on you will need to test with a Digital multi meter($5 at harbor freight tools) to make sure you are getting voltage to both of these wires.those wires should not matter. the red and black are really the only ones that should effect that.
He's on the money dude. And GM hasnt changed anything in years as far as electrical goes like FenixAudio said. And if it doesnt work at the harness have you tried hooking it up directly to the battery? Or in another car? If it was me, Id let you try your deck on my harness cuz thats what friends do...incorrect, the yellow wire must have 12v constant, red gets 12v switched. yellow 12.2 or above with car OFF 14.4 with car onYes get the DMM. Test the yellow and red for starters and see if they have power. The ignition wire as you may already know should only have a current when the key is on. It should read around 12v when the car is off, and should read anywhere from about 12.5 to 14.4v when the car is running. When you get the DMM, let us know what your findings are if you need more help.
You welcome for the help kr15.
