Crossover wiring question

hi there,

I recently had a set of Inifinity 6030cs components installed by a shop. I noticed on the right side of the car, they have the wire from the amp connecting to the woofer terminal on the crossover and the woofer connected to the source terminals. The tweeter is connected to the tweeter terminal.

The other side of the car has the woofer wired to the woofer terminal and the amp wired to the source.

Everything sounds great, but what is the purpose of switching those connections? I tried searching it on google but was unable to find anything. Is this method of wiring called something?

Thanks!

I haven't contacted the shop, but I was playing around with it and found that if I put it back (amp to source and woofer to woofer), the speakers hiss a little.
