That was when I bought my batteries //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifNice. What's with all them 100's?!?!
Well I did, but I never made that much money! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifBS. I know you were dealin'.........
j/k
I've seen those types around myself and I suspect hospitals and some other (non IT) businesses have similar battery bank policies on their backup power system.Either way, if it works it works //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif
They probably got batteries with a similar situation to mine.
Big software companies have huge 12v battery backups for their servers. Each battery is monitored. When one battery in the bank has an ESR out of spec, the company replaces the bank according to policy. They would rather waste a bit of money and replace all the batteries than have the power go out with batteries that *might* not be able to handle the load until power gets turned back on.
My guess is they bought a bank near scrap price and are selling the good batteries
Yeah, top posts usually go with generators. Hospitals have backup generators, along with a battery bank.I've seen those types around myself and I suspect hospitals and some other (non IT) businesses have similar battery bank policies on their backup power system.
Look at the style of that battery. There's no way someone is buying batteries with posts for an office building power supply.
Man... it took me basically all day and this is Phoenix Arizona!.. I kept taking breaks and going inside... but it got done, with a new 3/8" grounding point in the rear that I bolted /w/ stainless and a nice fabricated battery hold down that turned out really well... man I'm stoked!.. the power available seems enough to pop those EVL 12's like lightbulbs... I'll burp it to see where it is db wise but... I probably will put it back to 4 ohm eventually... next year I might make some REAL changes... My electrical will be pretty much solid so I'll Drop a pair of 12" X's in and just might change amps as well... I don't foresee me being too stupid and running these at 1 ohm strapped for long... But if they hang... who knows?.. I've heard stories of these amps lasting as little as 3 months at 1 ohm strapped so I'm sure I'll try to do the prudent thing... any ideas what these CAB's do into a 1 ohm load strapped?.. I've never seen a test. That's awesome news. Went to the junkyard earlier and they got tons of batteries avail. I need to go back and return an item I didn't know was broke....I need to see if they got my size there.
Just a thought: My Tahoe has a small storage area container I could easily remove and put in a 2nd battery there. Hmm....that would def increase things.....mo' bass!! Been told before but....now I'm seriously considering it. Pretty easy to wire up 2 batteries?
Ya it's been hot here too...but nowhere hear AZ weather!! Remember, I'm originally from Tucson so I know the 110+ degrees very well. As for strapped, I'm not sure. But...take the 1 ohm configure and multiply it x 2. Should give ya a rough estimate. When you getting those x-12's?Man... it took me basically all day and this is Phoenix Arizona!.. If that's true then it's 1/2 ohm tested at 3500-4000 X 2?.. Jeez!.. no way!.. Remember how it got right before the monsoon?.. Well.. tomorrow rain chances and there was lightning off to the south as I finished up... It's a humid M/Fer outside right now so I'm glad I got it all done today... +7000 watts?... it is really a big change... I actually hope it is that much... I guess I'm really addicted to basshead problems...Ya it's been hot here too...but nowhere hear AZ weather!! Remember, I'm originally from Tucson so I know the 110+ degrees very well. It is dynamic... oh well, it is still a lot... I'm gonna burp this thing and see what happensHa! Hell yeah...I recall those flash floods. That's why there's those big dips on roads everywhere. I remember seeing unreal water going thru those!!
As for the CAB...that almost seems like dynamic/burst power. For like...a few seconds.
Meter it, you mean? Should do really good.....those blazers are easy to get loud.It is dynamic... oh well, it is still a lot... I'm gonna burp this thing and see what happens
It IS 1:19 AZ time... LMFAO!.. it was metered for average music SPL but never for peak... I'm gonna be surprised I think... but that Termlab is the JUDGE and I never do well in court... LOL!Meter it, you mean? Should do really good.....those blazers are easy to get loud.
Btw...where the hell is everyone else?! Only us on here tonight?!
