Group 31 AGM for $50?

Yeah usually 1 or more people on here at this hour....but...I'd say 150 or very near it if I had to guess.
THAT would be great... I'm out .. I gotta get up somewhat early... (before 10)... I'll shoot a video tomorrow and post it... the difference between the other video at 4 ohm strapped and this one ought to be readily apparent... this thing should FLEX now... hope I don,t kill the subs the first day!..

Yeah, top posts usually go with generators. Hospitals have backup generators, along with a battery bank.
We had a contract with a generator company and they would buy group 26's from us by the pallet. A group 26 is often what is used for generators, but the size needed for a hospital generator probably is a group 31 (or multiples)

I would assume hospitals have similar policies for switching out their batteries though. If one tests bad, they replace the whole bank so it's not a group of different age batteries and they're wondering if all of them will be good if the power goes out.
Actually, the companies I've dealt with just have it set as a PM. Every 2-4 yrs all batteries get replaced regardless. Best way to get agm's if you ask me. A guy I know just had 350 data safe batteries, they pulled out of a server center in ATL.

I was supposed to get 50 of them, but one of his workers scrapped all of them before he got mine out.

Yeah, it is a great way to get batteries. I used to see lots for sale on forums

Should easily do 150. I have a blazer. My 2 12s can break 150 around 1800w clamped

Blazers are easy to get loud. I think explorers are louder, but blazers are close

Yeah... I hope you're right, tested some more today and the voltage holds up at 14 or so for about 20 sec... but meanwhile the darned thing is LOUD!.. I'll go back to 4 ohm after I meter it but Sh*t... I wonder how much amperage these CAB's pull at 1 ohm strapped?.. I've got 3 batteries and upgraded alt now... also smelling some coils now with the new power

Where do you think you peak? Only downside to blazers is they fall on their face #s wise below 36 or so.

Tuned at 29, my death penalty 15 only did 145 on AL 3500 @ 0.5

You know what... I really do not know, I only burped it once about 4 months ago and tried 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 and 60 hz all in 5 hz increments and it peaked between 45 and 50 I think... I really have been absent from audio and the show scene since 1998 so this is all new to me again... what is the difference between getting metered for music average and the other way?.. one seems to give higher numbers... I hope I'm putting that the right way.... and that Termlab is brutal... 150 today is NOT the same 150 in 1998 when everyone used Audiocontrol... it's a LOT higher...

Opened up it should like 48, 49. Sealed its gonna like 51-53. But thats assuming you are chasing the meter. If you are tuned at 30, you wont peak at 50

Well... I guess I'm not chasing numbers REALLY... but I am at this time... I'm doing it with a huge box tuned to 31 hz by my estimation/modeling...LOL!... the Winisd program says I'll see power compression at about 3500 watts "apparent amplifier input"... I really think I'm pounding it with a LITTLE more power than that... but I'm probably way off base...LOL!... do you think Winisd is... "ballpark"... in this estimation or is it possibly way off base?.. I'll try 45-55 next time... if you think that's a good "starting point"...

Sounds like your prob giving them too much power.

Ok, group 75 or 78? I'm really considering the area where the storage container is to throw in another battery in that area. That would require some mods and rearranging things. Gotta pic by chance?
